Tips for Kingdom Massage

Don't go here!. This is one of those Asian-run places in the Chinatown area. I was a bit skeptical when I had to pay upfront the $70 for a 60 min deep tissue massage. To start off, when I tried to point out where my problem areas were, the masseuse said rudely (not suggestively) "go see a doctor, I do full massage". OK, nice...that's why I came to GET the massage. She didn't care what I wanted, just to get the job done. She gave a good massage, i.e. good pressure and somewhat thorough. But I only got 50 minutes, and when I ever-so-kindly pointed it out she argued with me and stated that the time is counted from when I came in (basically when I walked in the door)! I specifically looked at the clock before she even walked in to record my start time, I was jipped a good 10 minutes. Then of course, she lingered around waiting for a tip and when I walked out and turned away she openly asked, "Hey excuse me, where's my tip?" I told her I will deal with it in the front. I wanted to talk to the front desk person about a). the jipped 10 minutes and b). her rudeness. The front desk guy didn't do anything and agreed "yeah we might be short by 5 minutes here and there; we go by our clock" -- yeah, well I looked at YOUR clock and it was still 10 min short (obviously, this is common practice). So to top it off, I was counting out money to give her "some" tip and she had the audacity to demand"20%!". That dropped her tip to 5 bucks. She got upset and told me not to come back -- no problem! Her American name is "Wendy". I know Las Vegas is a service industry and people live off tips, but one has to earn her tip, not demand it. Don't go there. It wasn't that much cheaper than other local areas in Las Vegas (away from The Strip) where basic service, courtesy, and hospitality is understood and they value my hard-earned money. I am heading to another place for a massage this week and will let you know if it's better. I am sure it will be.
