1st or 2nd on our breakfast favorite list!.
I see that the last reviews (in 2010) were not very good. However, we LOVED the cozy atmosphere, the food and the service. The managers did not hesitate to "help" since they were shorthanded that day. I was raised in a homecooked restaurant where we, also, made everything from scratch (or nearly everything).
The apple fritter was heavy but not from too much oil. It had a "ton" of apples! Very good and that's coming from a person that does not usually even try apple fritters. The hash browns were out of this world good....and a lot of them. The ham was very flavorful. My husband is still talking about the restaurant (he had the kitchen sink skillet) and it's been 3 days since we were there! We will be returning.
Gone Downhill - TERRIBLE Experience!. "If you don't like it, just don't come back", is what I was told by the owner when I complained. Is that how we do customer service??? Now, I don't want to bore you with the whole story, but this place is not managed correctly and the service is so bad that no one in the restaurant (just 6 tables) was happy. The food came out completely wrong on 3 of the 6 tables. It used to be pretty good, but you can definitely take this OFF your list, go anywhere else and you are likely to have a better breakfast with better service.
I came across your review and wanted to reach out to you. The Maple Tree is under new ownership. We would love for you to come back and try the food again! I am one of the current owners and would be happy to give you a free meal to show you the improvements!
Changed from a Year ago. This used to be a favorite of my wife and mine. However, I believe some kind of owner change happened. What used to be great service is now one or sometimes two waitress for the entire restaurant. What used to be wonderful food, is now average food you might get at a rest stop. I was very disappointed with everything. On top of that, they increased their prices. I would no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone. Maple Tree Management, if you read this, please switch back to what the way things were a couple years ago...that is what made you special!

OUTSTANDING.
We are so glad we did a quick search this morning for BEST BREAKFAST in Vegas. Not sure why Maple Tree isn't #1 (I have been to #1 & #2 and this place knocks the socks off the others!!!).
I have to say, Maple Tree was down a waitress this SUNDAY morning, and quite honestly if the hostess had not informed me I would not have known. In a town where most servers take service for granted (as in NOT dishing it up readily), The Maple Tree's entire staff went out of their way to make everyone in the eatery comfortable and the portions ensured we were all WELL FED.
Amen on the Maple Muffin, do not miss that when you go. We had the buckwheat pancakes which came with REAL Maple Syrup (damn!!!) and a Luck O The Irish omelet (double damn). This place is so great we've dubbed it our new weekly breakfast spot!
Delicious.
05/11 This restaurant was once one of the best places for breakfast in Las Vegas prior to the economic downturn, but had deteriorated in recent years. Fortunately, new ownership took over this past March with the intent to restore it to its prior glory. Our waiter was the brother of the new owner and his aunt serves as chef. Neither the interior nor menu has undergone much change except for an overall price increase. We each ordered the New England Benny, poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce over twin crab cakes and English muffins accompanied by a choice of breakfast potatoes. The meal was very good, but the crab cakes must have been on the Jenny Craig system because they were noticeably thinner than in the past.
04/09 On our last visit In September I took a photo of Susan, our server, and on entering presented her with a copy. This led to the owner joining us for a chat and his daughter coming over to tell us she has posted the photo on her Facebook page. Our orders were the same as in September; strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast topped with fresh strawberries and real maple syrup for Ann and the New England Benny, a pair of crab cakes served on top of English muffins halves and topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce for me.
09/08 Though physically situated in a nondescript shopping center, the restaurant provides a touch of New England charm to the local area. My wife ordered the French toast stuffed with strawberry cream cheese and topped with fresh strawberries. She rated this second only to Bouchon?s, but at half the price. I was initially hesitant to order the New England Benny, but was I ever rewarded for my courage. The New England Benny is 2 crab cakes served on English muffin halves topped with 2 poached eggs and covered with Hollandaise sauce. This proved to be an amazing combination of flavors. Each member of the wait staff was very friendly on this busy Sunday morning.

Great food, exceptional service. There's good reason why this cozy restaurant was named "Best Of" in 2007. The food is very very good, reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and prompt. It is apparent that all of the staff really enjoy serving their customers. The menu offers the traditional fare, but also throws in some tasty surprises (the Rueben Omelette for example). Don't miss ordering the maple muffins....they're worth the trip alone
Editorial Review. Restaurant offers a menu of traditional new England Sugarhouse food.
The Best Breakfast in Vegas.
The Maple Tree is one of those eateries known largely to Vegas locals, but when it gets down to the nitty-gritty?not to mention the grits themselves?you can eat fancier and at higher prices, but you won't find a better breakfast anywhere in the city. After leaving Las Vegas after 16 years, the inability to breakfast at Maple Tree was my most poignant loss, at least from a gustatory point of view.
From the biscuits and gravy to the sausage, eggs & home fries and the standard New England ?sugar shack? fare (perfectly proportioned pancakes swimming in butter and maple syrup) around which The Maple Tree built its theme, you won?t eat a better breakfast anywhere in Las Vegas.
I think most Americans are of the opinion that breakfast is pretty much the same everywhere, that the IHOP-style "cuisine" varies so little in quality that seeking an outstanding place to dine in the AM isn?t worth the time.
If you are of that persuasion, take one visit to The Maple Tree and be forever enlightened. You can thank me later.
BREAKFASTS OF ECSTACY.
Five STARS does not clearly implicate the quality of the food nor does it aptly define the constant care and diligence practiced by the owners or passion (love) offered up by the chef's and staff and this personable little culinary gem.
Country fried steak and waffles like no other... inspiring but one regret: one must swallow -- it does not last forever.
In the entertainment business i have traveled the entire globe and eaten the finest cuisine money can buy. If i would have been told that for the price and humble forum i could enjoy such fabulous food and delightful experience i probably would have laughed... or, perhaps, challenged the messenger -- a challenge i would have lost... without regret. --Friends and associates demand a visit when in town for biz or pleasure.
If this review appears to grovel... then my intent has shone through. I truly experience a wave of goosebumps when i bite into my entree --- now THAT is exquisite!
EAT HERE... OFTEN.
Congratulations and Thanks to the Owners and Terrific Staff.
All the Best,

It's like a bed & breakfast without the sleepover!.
I have eaten at The Maple Tree many times and I enjoy it very much. It has a "down home" feel and is like a New England B & B without the first B! The food is the best and my favorite is the home-made chicken-fried steak! This a great little place and if you like friendly folks and a rib-stickin' meal that won't empty your wallet, I highly recommend The Maple Tree for a great breakfast or lunch.
