Went to this salon today with a Groupon for Gel mani/pedi. The place is bland and boring. Customer service is robotic and forced. I was 10 min late to my appointment because the place is hard to find. It's a building behind other buildings. I was told I can either just do a mani or a pedi - but not both because the technician has to leave and will not have the 1.5 hrs required to do the job - or I can reschedule. She offered a date 2-3 weeks out. Right.
Whatever. I did not feel like driving back to this place since it is pretty much out of the way. Natasha did not even soaked my hand in water before working on my nails which is standard procedure for a mani. She did not do any pedicure even though I asked that my feet be soaked and my existing pedicure be removed. I felt so unwelcomed. As if they are doing me a favor when I am the one giving them business.
I normally hand my technician a $20 for a mani/pedi but I throw her a $5 tip even though I think this place don't deserve a tip - for the simple reason that I felt sorry for this technician since she seems to be so unhappy and bored with her job. I definitely will not return to this place nor recommended it to anyone. I ended up spending almost $50 for a poorly done manicure - there's a lot of other places in town who can do a better job and service for that $$$. I won't be suprised if this place go out of business soon.
Worst hair done ever!!! – Thanks God that is my first time I stepped onto that salon, and for sure my last!!! I wanted to have an easy repair color, that normally in any salon takes 45min. and done!! this took for ever!! Firstable the girl was really incompetent!! probably new in the job!! didn't even know what was Kerastasen!!! unbelievable!!! once she finished to colored my hair, the color turn horrible!! but she was so proud of her work!!!perhaps her worry was to know if was hispanic!!! finally Vanessa the owner decided to help her out in that bad situatiation, of course she couldn't say that that color was horrible, she prefer to quiet but you could see her face of worry!!! Gosh!!! terrible experience!! and next day when I called to tell her how disappointed I was...the owner was horrible to me!!! saying that she can't handle my conversation!!! that I should be happy that they didn't charge me the toner!!! and the toner she putted me it was to repair her damage!!! OMG!! what a terrible experience!!!!Please don't risk your hair in that place!! I totally agree with imabostonfan!! and please next time Vanessa!! be polite with your costumers!!! you never know if they are famous people that could it bring you new people in to your salon........
Worst customer service and terrible stylist – Went there to get color, Vanessa the owner and "so called stylist" quoted me $55-65 for a color. She had me there from 1-3:30 for just a color. She was taking people while doing my hair, she even stopped and did an interview for hiring someone while I was sitting there. She kept asking other girls in the salon to wash my hair, comb my hair, blowdry my hair and was doing other peoples cuts and colors while doing mine. I felt like a petting zoo. After all that my hair was noticeably a pink color throughout and bright pink in the front. I asked for a mahogany color. I told her I did not like it and it was uneven colored and she told me to just wash it 10 times to get color right, she even tried to send me home with some brown color to do myself, isnt that what I paid her for?? When I went to pay she charged me $165.00 for just a color!!!! She said it was because she had to use more color on me, I have been coloring my hair for 20 years and have never been charged more than $135 for a cut AND color...let alone just a color!! She told me to call her and she would fix if I still didnt like, I called her next day because after washing my hair 4x in shower it accually got brighter and she told me she would fix but would charge me again!! Are you kidding me?? Terrible!!!!!
The Worst Mani/Pedi Experience – First of all, this place is really hard to find. I was 5 minutes late to my appointment because I could not find the salon. Because of my 5 minute misstep, I was told that we need to rush through the appointment. Barbara did my mani and cut my cuticles in the process. She painted my nails, only the tops. The sides of my nails didn't receive the paint. I didn't catch the name of the person that did my pedi but she normally does hair. She should stick to hair only. My pedi was a waste of time. Also, the red sandles they give you will transfer the color to your feel and clothes. I went home and took the color off my hands and feet and did it myself.
Don't waste your $$$$.
Don't get your nails done here! – I went to this salon with a friend after getting the livingsocial deal. Their services may be great for facials and hair, but definitely not nails. I guess we got what we paid for ($30) when we wanted a mani/pedi. We came out with not one nail clipped, no trimmed cuticles, and polish all over our skin! The workers were nice enough until we complained and wanted our money back. Yes, we were late (13 minutes) so I was told by the manager that because I was late, they had to do a quick job and normally they would have people reschedule which was never offered. She also said that they are a appointment only salon, but on their website, door and brochures it says "walk-ins welcome". I would have rather had one good thing done in the small amount of time that we had...but I could have done a better job at home with no experience. My friend got a french manicure and it looked like a four year old painted on her. Nothing was offered but a "too bad, so sad" for us kind of attitude. I would never go to this salon again.
Love this place! And the Price! – I highly recommend scheduling your services with Katie for an Epicuren Facial. She is very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does, and she works with you to determine exactly what you want out of certain treatments. She was honest and informative about the condition of my skin. She had gentle hands and an easy manner about her.
My complexion has never looked better either since having a facial done by her.
I was pleased to see that after visiting Katie for a second treatment, a brazilian wax, the unwanted hair, not my skin, was removed, and I had very little irritation.
The prices for her services are very reasonable when compared to the prices for services at other spas of the same quality.
