Classy for being in a mall. We had a department/business luncheon here. Staff was extremely helpful in helping us set everthing up, but nothing was over the top. I guess if you are so accustomed to everything in Vegas being "over the top," this is somewhat of a let down. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. Pretty large wine selection. Nice business atmosphere. I was told by coworkers that they like coming here and sitting at the bar and getting the appetizers - our menu was already planned out, so maybe the selection they served that day was why it felt so "average." I would give it a second chance though.

Great ambience, poor food. We had reservations and the hostess was friendly and helpful. Our server seemed very to be well educated about the menu. The wine list was decent, nothing spectacular. We had a dry aged steak and it was good, well seasoned. Our side dishes were bland and seemed to be sitting for quite sometime, just didn't taste fresh. We also had the shrimp, it was awful, everything on the plate seemed to be over cooked. I have been to The Capital Grille in Phoenix and Scottsdale and it seems like the Vegas location isn't on the same page with the food. I will not return to The Capital Grille in Vegas.

Surf-and-turf chain lures diners with its classy atmopshere and prime cuts of meat.. In Short
This steakhouse with dark mahogany and plush seating has the feel of an Ivy League library. Casual diners enjoy cigars with their steak in the bar and lounge area, while the main room is more refined. Juicy dry-aged filets, 24-ounce porterhouses and double-cut lamb chops are house specialties, but those who enjoy ocean delicacies look to caviar, crab cakes, calamari or grilled swordfish jardiniere. Save room for the Key lime pie or chocolate hazelnut cake.

Excellent Experience. We dined at the Capital Grille on a recommendation. The suggestion was great!! We walked in and were at once wisked to our table that was directly overlooking the strip. Our server greated us in a matter of seconds. Offered wine and appetizers, we did both. Our steaks and lobster were cooked to perfection. The coconut cream pie was heavenly and our hand made cappucinos were delish! I woudl recommend that everyone try the Capital Grille. It's a 10!!

Lacking focus. A friend of ours recommended the Capital Grille at the Fashion Show Mall and proceeded to make the reservations after some deliberating. Delmonico's was put on hold this trip and we were to base our choice upon our friend's previous experience.

The appetizers were spectacular. I highly recommend the lobster and crab cakes, the server was kind enough to ask the chef to prepare 8 mini cakes for the seven of us instead of the standard 2 cakes per order. The deserts were also outstanding, cheesecake sent straight from heaven: not too rich, perfect crust, light and fluffy. Now the steaks were disappointingly average. After my best steak experience at 555 East less than a month ago, the filet mignon was missing something. The steaks require a bit more attention.

Overall, the restaurant is recommended. The service is excellent, as are the majority of the items on the menu.

GREAT FOOD - BAD ATTITUDE. The food, drink and view were all excellent unfortunately they were overshadowed by the poor excuse for service. Not service concerning promptness but rather the attitude of the servers. If you want to be treated rudely I would strongly recommend the Capital Grille. Could have been a bad evening, things happen, however in our paarties opinion it was inexcusable and tainted our special occasion.

Disapointed... big time.. My friend and I went for dinner at the Capital grill from the recomendation of our limo driver. Having dined at other locations, we expected a truely quality experience, and it did NOT pay out. We waited for our table for over half a hour, my steak was thoroughly overdone, all of our order was never delivered to the table, and there was a fiasco with a lobster I won't even bother explaining! Management was very good about appeasing us after the evening was thoroughly damaged.

A great place to eat. After watching a show at the MGM Grand we stopped here for a meal. The porter house was so deliscious I ordered one to go. The service was good. The steak was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends. The wine selection was great.

Incompetent!. Ate there last night on a busy night, party of five. Service and operations were incompetent. the meal took almost four hours, with us speeding them for a check at the end. Two hours in we got our salads. When the steaks finally arrived, all were way overcooked. One porterhouse appeared ok, another had obviously been cut in half to make two servings. the waitstaff was attentive but clueless. No vegetables ever arrived. They finally arrived after dessert had beenoffered and the steaks cleared. Bad management makes for bad experience. Favorite place in denver. Skip it in Vegas.
