Pricey, but worth every penny!. I had some family in from out of town (first time the had been to Vegas) and took them to the Capital Grill. Food was EXCELLENT! The filet mignon melted in your mouth, and the mac n cheese was delicious. Excellent view of the strip, so it was great for my guests. I probably wouldn't have ordered the lettuce wedge (which was excellent) but turned out to be too much food. Everyone had a great time and I look forward to going back.

Very Good Steakhouse. Capital Grille is a good choice for people wanting to avoid the clang of slot machines at casinos. The restaurant is in Fashion Show mall north of TI.The decor is pleasant but not overly distinctive.Service is very pleasant but a bit spotty at times. The steaks are perectly cooked to order and are delicious. The selections of wines by the glass is excellent.Side dished come in generous portions. In all, I rate Capital Grille but a half step below Charlie Palmer.Worth a visit if you are staying at Mirage or TI.

Best steak I have ever had anywhere.. Still the best steak I have ever had every time I go there and I have been to a lot of fine dining steak houses. Maybe I am just lucky but they get it perfect every time and everyone I have recommended it it to agrees with me. i will say however, that I have been to a few different Capital Grilles in the U.S. and Vegas is the only one that deserves such praise.

Award-winning steaks and first class service make for a four-star dining experience.. In Short
Richness and warmth radiate from the plush leather seating and mahogany trim. Whether patrons prefer the filet mignon or a 24-ounce porterhouse, the dry-aged beef is guaranteed to please and is the cornerstone of a menu that also features hand-cut chops and fresh seafood. With hundreds of selections, the wine list is also impressive.

overpriced chain steak house with a view. The problem here is that they price themselves similar to Bradley Ogdon, Delmonico's, Rosemary's, Andre's, etc; but they are a large chain restaurant, and simply cannot deliver the expected level of service and quality of food. There was nothing 'wrong' with the service or our meal. But when all the steaks, a la carte, are $43 or more, my expectations rise higher than what a chain steak house can deliver. We chose this place because of its proximity to TI (where our friend was coming from) and because they had plenty of available reservations last minute on a Sat night. There were 3 adults & a toddler in our party--I called ahead of time to assure that they had highchairs and that it would be ok to bring the toddler. Surprisingly, we were given a prime table in the corner with views up and down the strip--and the tables are separated from each other by a good deal of distance. The ambience was very good---great views, not too loud, comfortable. The server was very nice, but again, with prices like these I expect to be coddled--and I wouldn't say it went that far. The service was not at all comparable to Bradley Ogdon's. There is a large wine list with the menu, then they give you another wine list, but then you have to ask for the list that includes wine by the glass (only one in our party ordering wine--seems obvious it would have been offered) I had to ask if they had kids options---they do. Ultimately we ordered the Delmonico porcini rubbed The steak was nicely cooked, very lightly sauced/spiced, and too expensive. The lobster bisque had large chunks of lobster in it. The chopped salad and spinach salad were both very good. The lobster mac had big chunks of lobster as well. My cocktail was delish and sufficiently boozy. For desert we had ice cream with strawberries topped with grand marnier. Very good. Altogether, it was a good meal. But for that amount of $, I'm going to Andres or Rosemarys or..

Needs a slightly bigger menu and lower prices.
