HSBC pls go out of business. When I had to change careers and move to a differn't state; I missed one payment on my mortorcycle due to a delay in my pay. As soon as I got my paycheck, I paid the prevous month and current month. Well apparently HSBC increased my % rate from 9% to 29% and slapped a late payment fee of $30. Well my payment went from $99 to $500 a month. By the time they called me that I was behind I already owed $1500 including $30 a month late fees. I ended up paying off what I owed monthly but HSBC refused to bring my interest down back to 9%. Customer service said it was against their policy. HSBC refused to work with me what so ever to work a compromise. I told them I could not afford 29% and asked how they expected me to pay off my debt. I said I am willing to contuine paying what I owe if I could get the monthly bill down to an affordable payment. I paid for 4 more months and they still refused to reduce the intrest rate or work with me. I ended up telling them that I refuse to pay them. In fact I ask them where could I self repo the bike. The next day they sent the repo man before I can self repo. HSBC was given a bail out from the US and British governments! I hope they go out of business!
hsbc bank nevada n.a.. this is worst thing ever happen to me, robbed by a Bank, hsbc bank is not a real bank in my book its run by crooks. they wrote a letter to my son who had trouble paying his credit card and the letter gave him 3 options to pay for a settlement. I paid $3,820.33 which is 40% off the original balance as their 1st option indicated, now they stil contend there is a balance and even sent a payment book. this is highway robbery. I wish all of us that have been taken by this bank could get together and file a class action against this bank. for the time being I am reporting this to the Attorney General in Austin , Texas in the hopes something can be done about this sham.
beware has this happend to you?. in july of 2009 i paid hsbc bank of nevada $7636.00 to settle my account and close it,final payment,debt settled.now hsbc said it was sold to atlantic credit for collection in july 2009 after it was paid,atlantic credit said it was never paid and sold it to midland funding llc in july 2011,now they want $7651.22 on this debt thats been paid off.if any one can help i would love to here from you.

I received a letter from a supposed law firm stating that I owed the HSBC Bank of Nevada thousands of dollars. This is either a case of idenity theft or a mistake on the banks part. The law firm claims they know nothing about the details that they are just the debt collectors. If they pursue this claim, I fully intend to contact the state bar association with a complaint of harrassment. As things are now, I contacted the state Attorney General's office to alert them to this bank's dubious business practices. From what I've been reading on this and other sites, the HSBC Bank of Nevada is just about as truthful and honest as Bonnie & Clyde. I intend to fight this and will not pay this claim. I urge anyone who has bad business dealing with HSBC Bank of Nevada to do the same. Don't pay any bill that you know is not yours, even if they threaten to ruin your credit. This is merely an intimadation ploy.

HSBC - ANOTHER CORRUPT BANKING INSTITUTION. I paid $300 towards my credit card account with HSBC, using American Express Travelers checks. Six $50 checks stacked on top of one another, stapled together and stapled to the statement. HSBC states they only scanned top check and "shreddred" the other five checks. Now HSBC won't replace $250 or credit me for shredded checks. I have paid HSBC in the past using Traveler's checks twice before without ay problems. American Express may not replace the checks because bank "shredding" of checks may not be part of their purchase and replacement agreement. I spoke with Assistant to the President of HSBC and he was useless. My next recourse is to file a formal complaint with Office of the Comptroller of Currency for an investigation. I may never see my $250 and HSBC doesn't care. Don't do business with this company!!!
Closed account but still billing us???. My husband and myself took out these bank cards to help build our credit. We had to give them $200 for each card and that was our limit. We were told that our $200.00 would be collecting interest while in the savings account. We decided back in July of 2008 to close the accounts and have them use the money out of the savings to pay the cards off so we had no further balances. All of a sudden we kept getting bills and they kept getting higher and higher. They used our $201.24 to cover our cards and paid them off and then told me that we had an ending balance of $35.00 that was left after we paid them off. Well they decided that every month they were going to add a $30.00 late fee and now say that we owe them almost $200.00 a piece. I was told tonight that while our money sat in the bank collecting interest that it was a low interest rate and that we only made $1.24 in interest on our $200.00. I told the man that I was willing to pay what the remaining balance on my card was because they charged me a late fee after I canceled the card so I owed him $35.00. He claims I was over the limit. I was under my limit until they kept charging me and my husband after we closed our accounts. He offered to settle with me for 77 dollars and I told him no way. So to all you out there looking to make your credit better this is not the place to go to. THey are scam artists and no one knows what they are talking about. The collection agency that they now have calling my house 12 times a day thought my credit cards were best buy ones. They are a bunch of monkeys. Stay away from this company and warn any one else that may be looking into it. They do not help your credit but they sure can make it worse and they will harass you every day for money. Worst practices - Deceitful practices in changing cardholder agreement aimed at increasing rates..
I got a notice in the mail that HSBC Bank Nevada, NA, PO Box 280, Wood Dale, IL 60191 would raise the rate on my credit card to 24.99% unless I notified them in writing that I do not accept this change. I have 25 days to write them and must include my name, address, and ACCOUNT number. However, the notice did not provide my account number, nor the correct name of my credit card. So, there is no possible way to respond. When I called them, they could not find my account based upon my social. This is a fraudulent practice in which they can claim they notified all cardholders, but made it impossible for their cardholders to identify which account it is to opt out.
I honestly, cannot wait until the credit card companies begin to fall like dominoes. They are such greedy bstds. Now, with the economy faltering, people are running up their credit cards just to survive and soon the bubble will burst. We will all have to learn to live without them and we will. But, what will they do with all that unpaid debt? Probably, go crying to Congress for another bailout.
HSBC predatory credit practices/refusal to help when problems arise. HSBC has predaotory credit reporting. HSBC NV has been absolutely impossible to deal with/rude/unresponsive/post fraudulent information on my credit report. I have reported HSBC bank and HSBC NV to the Federal Trade Commission and have the filing numbers to validate this claim. DO NOT USE THIS BANK! I had an issue with a fraudulant account and they REFUSE to remove the account from my credit even though they cannot substaniate all information which is illegal posting. They turned the account over to MCM/Midland Credit Management and have supplied all fraudulant information! I have been working on removing this from my credit report for 2 years and HSBC is just plain nasty. I even tried to just pay the account off with a check to just clean up the mess and they refused the check and continued to post the account and then put notes on the account that I had done this! MALICOUS! HSBC does not CARE if they hurt you! They are proud of their predatory credit practices. Anna Antonio Exec Liaison Ofc of the President has been vicious in her relentless refusal to remove this from my credit or HELP resolve the issue.. she is the one that refused to accept payment to resolve the issue and make HSBC accountable for their MISTAKES and malicious postings. EVERYONE can have the issues with an account that I had.. this is a fraudulant account and HSBC refuses to recognize their contributions to this malicous and erroneous posting on my credit. HSBC Bank. I have been a customer of HSBC Bank in New York for many years. Service here is excellent, with a special program for Preferred Customers. Employees are courteous, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I am looking forward to doing business with the HSBC Bank of Nevada when I relocate.
