Clean and Good Service.. liked the pool. Liked the pool area-- has been recently painted and updated.. small but nice. I would stay there again.....
a waste of money.
I stayed here on my first trip to Las Vegas in September of 2006. I was very disappointed. We arrived after midnight and it took half an hour to check us in. (I had called ahead to let them know we
would be so late). When we got to our room I took my shoes off and the floor was wet! It wasn't just in one spot either. I also went to lie down and the blankets and pillows smelled like cigarette smoke, as if they tried to wash it out, which is impossible really. I had to go back down to get a different room. The next room they gave us had dry floors, but the cigarette smoke smell was still there. I gave up, exhausted from the trip.
The room service was not very good, I asked for condiments and they didn't not bring them, so I had to ask again. My food also came at room temperature. The casino was tiny (not a huge deal, but not a selling point either) and it was very difficult to get into the pool area, which was overcrowded. Getting drinks by the pool was a nice idea, but the waitress came by so infrequently we ended up going over to the bar anyway. The gym was also overcrowded, at 10am on a saturday. It was quite far from the strip, about half a mile to anything worth going to, and the area around it was a bit ugly and scary looking- especially at night.
The only reason I'd go back to this hotel is if it were free. I was not happy I paid full price!…
Very impressed!. As Starwood Preferred Guests, we stayed on the top floor dedicated to the members. The room was a quite suprise. Their decor is minimal and contemporary. Subtle not tacky. Their Heavenly trademark is a nice touch. I felt the softness in the sheets and pillows but somehow, I couldn't appreciated the "Heaven"-ness in the towels or robes, I found them stiff and ordinary. Water pressure was very temperamental. At times, scary because of the noise it'd make. The elevators were not great either. It was normal that you wait about 5 or more minutes for the elevator to come. I think that's the reason why there are lounge chairs in the elevator lobby. The hotel staff was wonderful and I loved the different duckies housekeeping would leave in the room after they cleaned up. The hotel is a little far from the Strip but I think staying there is worth it.…
Not up to Westin Standards. More like a motel..
This place did NOT live up to Westin standards. Elevators were broken for all three days, bed was not a typical Westin comfortable bed, warm water but not hot, toilet clogged, low water pressure,
dirty shower, no ventilation in the bathroom, so the mirror fogged up like a Motel 6, and the fire alarm went off without explanation.
You should not have to walk up and down stairs from the 8th floor at a Westin. People got stuck in them as well. The staff didn't seem to care either.
I'm sure there are plenty of elevator maintenance personnel in Vegas, and this problem should have been addressed promptly.
Not up to Westin standards at all.…
Simple sophistication, I loved it. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprise by the maintence of this hotel. There was a pleasant smell all around the place, which is pretty uncommon in Vegas. The place is bright, clean, modern, comfortable, sophisticated. The interior design is excellent especially for the price. Not on the strip but we were not borthered to walk a couple blocks after heavy dinners. I will stay there all the time when will visit Vegas and highly recommend to others…
