You're in Vegas...Live it Up.
My husband and I went to Las Vegas for the first time this Chrismas. On the second day of our trip we visited Penazzi's. We absolutly loved it! We started our meal with a fabulous waiter that helped us all the way through. He was able to recommend wine, appetizer's, entree's and deserts. When we recieved our appetizer and salad, the presentation was amazing. They could have just plopped it on the plate for all we cared, because it tasted amazing too! For the entree, I ordered the lobster and my husband ordered some type of filet. We have never eaten more perfectly cooked food with more delicious sides. The combination of flavors amazed us. We savored every last bite. We then followed it up by a perfectly satisfying desert. (As Recomended by our waiter, of course)
We Paid $200 including tip for our meal. This included wine of course. As far as value goes, if you're looking for more food for your dollar...go to the buffet. (Don't get me wrong, you'll be plenty full after a meal here) But, if your are looking for a fantastic dining experience and are willing to spend the money to have that, Penazzi's is an excellent choice for you. After all, you're in Vegas...Live it up!
Great menu, OK execution.
I went there with my wife. We were impressed by the menu and the creativity of the chef. The wine list was good offering many types of both red and white wines. The waiter was a little pushy, tryng to sell the duck and explaining to us how food is ordered in Italy and how we should be ordering. the table was next to the wait station which made it loud and irritating. The music was loud and anything but Italian or romantic. The food was great in creativity but bad in execution. Mostly everything was too salty. Our bill was $105 with tip for two pasta dishes, one appetizer and two drinks. A bit expensive even for Las Vegas standards when considering the quality of the food/atmosphere/music/service.
Hopefully they can improve these few things because the concept is a good one.
Family recipes with modern twists and comfortably posh decor give this Italian eatery an upscale yet homey feeling..
