In Short
In 2004, brothers Dominic and Nico Santucci moved their family's eatery (established in 1964) from Chicago to Las Vegas. Themed after the speakeasies of Prohibition times, only the candles on the tables break the dining room's darkness. Curtained booths and an upstairs getaway for drinks and cigars create an intimate atmosphere. The Southern Italian cuisine includes signature dishes named after famous mobsters, such as the Tortellini Trafficante and Spilotro Spiedini. The lasagna is a house favorite.

I brought 11 people for dinner to celebrate my daughters birthday. The food was good (only 1 person in my part was unhappy with the meal), prices fair, but, the service was certainly was lacking. The waiter never checked to see how the meal was. Never offered coffee with dessert. I assume because his tip was included because of the size of our party. His loss, actually, because I never tip a mere 20% with good service. Also, I was charged a $20 "cake fee" for serving my daughters birthday cake. I have been to 5 star retaurants that would not think of doing this. I found this insulting. I will pay extra for a good meal and even let the poor service slide because it does happens occasionally, but, that $20 cake fee was unacceptable. Therefore, for that one reason, I will NOT return to this establishment. My advice....have your cake at home.

Ever since I left the East coast, it has been difficult finding good Italian restaurants. My friend I found Capo?s by accident. We saw that it was Italian and decided to check it out. I?m glad that we did! The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. The service and staff are first class. The food is amazing. It is fabulous and authentic. As an added bonus the live music is also excellent. Forget the restaurants on the strip and try this one. Every penny spent here is well worth it.

I go to Vegas every month on business and found myself bored with restaurants in the hotels. Don't get me wrong you can get good eat's on the strip but not eveything in Vegas happens on the strip. A few friends of mine from the area took me to Capo's one night and I fell in love with it. From the minute we pressed the buzzer on the door until the time we walked out of the door back to the car everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was first class. It is very dark inside but that holds a lot of appeal as not everyone is staring you in the face while you eat. This is perfect for a date spot. I give it 5 stars!
