Casino Operation. I was at a blackjack table tonight 03/03/2012 having a good time with fellow players at the table...we're getting a dealer change (female dealer leaves and a male dealer arrives) he has a mardi gras bead around his neck, so I jockingly say show me your t..ts...

This in turn generates the wrath of the pit boss who says if I hear that again you're gone, I'm giving you a warning. So I say: so you're the tough guy around ...yes i am he says, I say well why don't you warn me again I have done nothing wrong here...he grabs my chips shoves em over to me and says you're out a here. I'm

not having any of this and talk to another gent on the floor...he comes back to me after talking to the tough guy pit boss and tells me that I should just go to other tables on the floor and enjoy myself. Subsequently talk to Nikki Bild Supervisor and she tells me she can't believe it and she calls floor supervisor Greg Fisher...he comes up to me and says let's call it a night and made me leave...ridiculous that would treat a customer gambling away over 3 grand in the last 4 weeks at that casino

Greg Fisher and his pit bosses cover up for each other and lie...the customer is left in the dust. I was neither loud nor rude, but the pit boss could not handle my attitude and had his ego get in the way...

First service then Operational Issues get what you pay for. Here is my trip summary (December 11-12 room 2511) after my last stay was a disaster the Hotel Director Shelley White called . Day 1 the heater in my room stopped working and it was freezing,my internet logged me off twice. I called room service and the phone hung up twice while placing my order, and now my TV is on freeze frame, plays for a few minutes and then freezes up. The engineer checked it and said the system has been freezing up at late night and he would call cox cable. Day Two the heater is still not working right I have to turn it up to 82 to get any heat or it turns the air conditioner on, the internet is still intermittent and it is now 12:15 and the tv is doing it again, but the maid did a great job cleaning. After being loyal and faithful since this place opened this will be my last stay here, seriously I give up. The response from the manager, Shelley White was to call me a liar even though I have 14 witnesses including myself which will give statements verifying the truth of my statements, some already have.

Kevin is the BEST massage therapist. The spa is beautiful, relaxing and immaculate. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and respectful. Kevin REDEFINES therapeutic massage. He has great knowledge of anatomy and phisology and uses this in his practice. Very relaxing, nurturing and restorative. The warm stone massage was the BEST I've ever experienced. Thank you, Kevin!!!

Nice "has everything" location. Normally when I visit Vegas, I stay Downtown for the cheaper room rates. However, on my last visit, I was there for a trade show that was hosted at the South Point Hotel. Since South Point is nowhere near Downtown, I opted to stay at the hotel itself. The trade show had a special room rate that was acceptable to my husband and I. Anyway, the staff I had contact with on the phone before our stay was friendly, empathetic to my our special requirements and were willing to accommodate each of them. Upon arrival, the valet, bell staff and the front desk staff were friendly, courteous and again accommodated our special requirements without batting an eye. As I went to register for the trade show, my husband went up the room which, due to our requirements was supposed to be as close to the elevator as possible. Want to guess how close it was? Don't bother...it was the farthest away from the elevator as you could get. Once he got into the room, he noticed that our second requirement, a refrigerator for medication was not in the room. Once he realized this, he contacted the Front Desk. The staff there immediately changed our accommodations to the first room next to the elevator with an refrigerator, just on a different floor. Thankfully, our luggage was still with the bell staff. Once our room was as requested, a bell man delivered our luggage. Other than that snafu, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at South Point. Or dinner at Silverado Steakhouse was excellent. My lunch at the Oyster Bar was wonderful. The bass cooked tender and moist. The deep fried calamari was crunchy but not greasy. The casino staff was very kind to my husband by offering him a chair at the craps table when they realized it was difficult for him to stand. I just wish we'd had a little more time to stop in at the Bingo parlor, bowl a free game, and enjoy some popcorn at the movies. We'll have to visit again.

Terrible Customer Service. We sayed here twice, and while we loved the rooms, both times customer service was severly subpar. The first time we stayed was on our wedding night. My husband drove us to the hotel, but the bell hop never showed up to the valet. I was left standing in the middle of the valet drive in my wedding dress for the longest time. We eventually ended up carrying our own luggage to the suite ourselves.

The second time we stayed, we were woken up at 6 a.m. to the sound of construction. When we complained, the front desk was so rude. He said that because we were locals, we not only should have known there was going to be construction, but that we should have expected the terrible construction noises waking us up at the first light of dawn. He then added further insult when he took a measly $10 off our tab and said that that was all he could do for us.

A Great Deal But.......... My wife and I recently stayed at the South Point. We chose it for the many amenities, including a shuttle to and from the strip and the airport, as well as the great rate we received on our room. The room was great, the bed was comfortable and the 42" plasma t.v. was a nice touch as well. If you are thinking of staying at the South Point and are attracted to it because of the shuttle, you would be better served staying elsewhere. Our third night in Las Vegas we had to wait for two shuttles before we could finally get on one(limited seating capacity), and our last night in Vegas we waited for 45 minutes on the last shuttle(other guests had been waiting for over an hour. Worried that there would not be a last shuttle, several of us called the hotel and spoke with the Assistant Front Office Supervisor who informed us that there was nothing that she or the hotel could or would do for us in the event that the shuttle didn't arrive, and that we were more than welcome to call a cab!

i've been twice since they opened. this is a great option for those who want to be very close to the strip, but not in the midst of it all.....i've stayed here twice in the last two years, each time equally as pleased.....the only drawback is that they don't seem to have enough staff working at the restaurants, especially coronado cafe.......we had to wait for 10-15 minutes before being seated at times due to lack of waiters/waitresses to wait on the numerous open and available tables.....however, every time it was worth the wait because the quality of food and price are excellent!! rooms are very nice and clean, and i would definitely stay here again next time in vegas!

A bargain. This casino has recently renamed South Point and reacquired by the original owner, Michael Gaughan, from Boyd Gaming. Room rates are moderate with frequent bargains since it was built in anticipation of future development in the immediate area. Another major obstacle is its location some 6 miles south of the nearest casino, Mandalay Bay, and absence of ready access from I-215. The hotel is new and was apparently built with the same design plan as the Suncoast. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed though there is not an overbundance of furniture thereby giving an air of roominess. A nice feature is the 42" plasma TVs and over the bed lighting allows one to read comfortably. The pool and jacuzzi area is very nice although I understand the odor from the nearby equestrian center is noticeable when there is an event. We were surprised one late afternoon when an announcement was made over the PA system that the pool area would close a 6PM. There is surface and a garage which are equidistant (long) to the rooms and casino. Live ntertainment is currently limited to dueling pianos on weekends though a showroom is in the plans. Other entertainment optiions include a bowling area and movie theatre.

We dined at the buffet twice, dinner and breakfast, and were disappointed due to the slow turnover of food. Better options include the Coronado Cafe (offering excellent graveyard specials until 9AM), Baja Michael's, Big Sur Oyster bar, Silverado Steakhouse and Don Vito's. A current special at Baja Michael's is a free margarita with each entree.

The casino offers the usual array of table games, loads new slot and video poker machines all of which are TITO.
