Employee Reponse to Review Below. Hello everyone, I'm the employee "Matthew" mentioned in this review. I actually vividly remember this incident. Let me explain what happened. It was a Thursday morning lunch shift, and someone called in. It was a cook doing pizza and then myself doing everything else. On a regular Thursday, our lunch rush was usually quite large, and being shortstaffed obviously doesn't help. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant can relate I'm sure!

When the man placed the order, he ordered three specials. Each special was a slice of pizza, a half sub, an entree, etc etc and then usually a side salad and drink. Because the website was actually run and operated when we were owned by a previous owner, the menu was out of date. It was restaurant policy that when someone ordered specials over the phone, we repeat what the specials are, so the are aware that the specials online are no longer the specials in the store. The man failed to mention this in the review. Everything he ordered I ran past him again, to avoid error. If he was not paying attention, then I cannot be blamed.

Yes, when he came in and we had a different order than what he believed to have called in, I did inform him that we were busy. What he again failed to mention was that I told him that's why it would take extra time for us to make what he had originally thought to have ordered. We aimed to satisfy our customers when we were in business. But if we are short on staff and in the middle of a rush, we need to have priorities. I explained this to him.

The drink situation I don't remember as much, but more than likely I was busy and did fill up his drinks less than full. I apologize for that. What should be mentioned however was that only two of the specials technically came with drinks. The other one I threw in as a way of (in theory) making him less upset about the order taking extra time. I told him that I would fill up the other cup after I made rounds to the tables (of which I should mention all eleven tables were filled). I never told him I was too busy to do it.

Yes, mistakes were made. But for this man to not understand that only two people were working in a packed restaurant is absurd. Unfortunately, it happens. For him to be upset about this forever is going a bit too far, I think.

I worked at D'Amore's for quite awhile and was the last one to leave on our last day. Read the other reviews. Most seem to have thought quite highly of our service, and we did pride ourselves on being much friendlier and personal then the bigger chains. This was simply a bad day. regardless of this man being unhappy, almost everyone who came in loved our food and service. That's how every other reviewer seems to remember us, at least.

Thank you. Rest in peace D'Amore's.

Avoid the nasty hair in my salad and the rudest employees in the world. I went to the website and ordered of the online menu. Called it in and when I got there, they said that it is an old website. I said I understand and paid for the overpriced food. I got the wrong order and on one of the 3 orders I placed, When asked if they can fix it, The employee Mathew says they are very busy. I said I didnt care but wanted to enjoy what I ordered.

The cook had an attitude and probably put the hair in the salad on purpose. Mathew then filled our soda up about 70% percent of the way on all 3 drinks. Asked him to fill them up, he rolled his eyes and filled up 2. Then he said he was too busy to fill up the 3rd. He finally did after I was about to make a huge scene.

I can't believe they allow people like this to work at restaurants. Now nobody at my job will ever go there again. I'm going to be upset forever about this.

Always Exceptional. We love their pizza and Chopped Salad. Most of the time we have our food delivered, but when we have eaten at the restaurant, the service has been terrific, and the staff is always so cordial and friendly. D'Amore's has never been a bad experience. Highly recommended!

Best in Vegas. We recently moved to Las Vegas and are always looking for great places to eat. This one fits perfect. Their pizza is absolutley wonderful. After finding them we don't get pizza anywhere else. Try it and we bet you won't be disappointed.

Best Pizza in America. The BEST pizza I have ever had. Period. I ordered one slice of the supreme pizza, and after the first bite I almost started to cry it tasted so good. I didn't know it was possible to feel so much emotion over a slice of pizza but it's true. Everything about the pizza is great, but what makes it extraordinary is the crust--simply amazing. I've never had anything like it--so thin, crispy, and flaky at the same time.
