Editorial Review for Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill – by Ryan Slattery

In Short
Patrons two-step into this patriotic music hall to find southern-style staples like chicken-fried steak, meat loaf and Toby's favorite--fried bologna sandwich served on grilled garlic Texas toast. Named after his hit single "I Love This Bar," Keith has left his personal mark everywhere here. His cowboy-hatted mugshot is plastered all over the walls along with his memorabilia, and his guitar riffs blare from the TV monitors playing his music videos.

I have never been to the Toby Keith's I love this Bar and Grill in Vegas but I do work at the other Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill, and I had read some comments people left... people come in and can be very rude sometimes...if you have never been a waitress you don't understand how difficult it can get. Yeah most think oh well you take my order, put it in, bring my food, check on me and get me refills, but it can be much more then that and can get overwhelming and hectic. People want things right then and there....sometimes it just doesn't happen that way. I don't know the situation... but a person can only go so fast. Maybe the waitress was new or was getting her butt kicked...anyway's I just wanted to say something about that comment, go easy on people you never know the situation. I'm not trying to say anything bad about anyone's opinion I just thought I would state my own.

I am a huge fan of Vegas and the awesome food the town has to offer... but sometimes you just want some good old fashioned American food. And that is not easy to find on the strip. So we decided to check out I Love This Bar & Grill. The ambiance was fine - good music, lots of flair, etc... but the service was HORRIBLE and the food was just so-so. Our waitress could not get our order right, ignored us when we tried to get her attention (because she never stopped at our table), would not split the bill 3 ways (between 6 of us -- is it really that complicated?), and charged us a bunch of $0.50 extras we had no idea where for (but by the time the bill came we didn't even care because we had been waiting for so long). The food was just ok, it wasn't very warm (I guess I will blame that one on the service), everyone seemed to like their's ok but me -- I ordered a quesadilla but it didn't come with any salsa or ANYTHING, it was really dry (and when I asked the dumb waitress for some salsa she never brought it to me). The whole staff seemed to be really overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was about 1/2 full, and it was about 2pm on a Sunday. This place just left me p-ed off when we left. Had potential, but maybe we just got an exceptionally bad waitress. There are def. better American burger joint-type restaurants on the strip, I don't recommend this one. Sorry Toby.

Pros: Country Fans will love it; and girl that tosses bottles around at the bar for entertainment

Cons: Horrible, slow, dumb service; below-average food
