Editorial Review for Lure at Wynn Las Vegas – by Ryan Slattery
In Short
More of a sit-and-be-noticed bar than a party spot, trendsetting couples meld with the singles scene to enjoy the relaxed, laid-back ambience. Thin, white drapery cascades from the ceiling and is illuminated in a purple hue as it wraps around bottle-service tables in the center of the room. Couches line the outer walls and an open air patio invites singles nursing sophisticated cocktails to strike up conversations while the music pulses.

I'm a lounge person but I heard great things about Tryst so wanted to check it out, needless to say, I didn't get in. So I went to Lure, also located in Wynn and I can't say enough about this lounge and I mean LOUNGE. First of all, this place is big for a lounge but plush, chic and comfortable. The place just has an inviting flow to it that even if you were walking past it you would want to venture in. There are couches everywhere to sit on and have conversation and relax and even though the dance is small, it didn't seem to effect the beautiful partygoers who were dancing everywhere. There is a open air space in the back of the lounge where some go to relax under the stars and by a firepit. Like most clubs and lounges in Vegas, they have very attractive people working there and Lure's bartenders, waitresses are all stunning with one difference, they are very attentive even when it's gets crowded and time allows will actually have a conversation with you. The waitresses and dancers wear gold beaded mini dresses reminiscent of those worn in the 60's. The crowd was a very good mix of people who didn't act as though they were too good for the room but freely mingled with each other unlike quite a few clubs and lounges in Vegas. A large number of these people seem like they belonged in a modeling catalog which can only help this place become bigger than it is. Because the problem Lure has is that they are competing with Tryst which has huge crowds on weekends. But last Saturday (their best day), Lure was crowded and nobody was leaving, when I left at 3:30am, it was still crowded. Nevertheless, I like this place very much and will go back when I'm Vegas. One downside is that, while they were very good, when the DJ's play Hip-Hop and dance floor is packed, stay with it, don't change it. Wynn has a gem here, so go and have fun....I did.
Pros: Staff, Decor, Clientele
Cons: DJ music selection
