Extremely disappointing service. We went to this restaurant for thanksgiving dinner. Our service was extremely poor, the waiter was a klutz. He dropped my friend's drink, made us repeat our order and was constantly interrupting our conversation. I dont think that the food was extraordinary either. We spent close to 1000 USD and felt extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. In a place like Vegas, I would recommend to spend your money elsewhere.
Daniel Boulud would be mortified. I am a NYC foodie who enjoys high end dining. We had a dinner reservation to celebrate a birthday, which was noted on the reservation. First, the ambience: The sound system, which was playing Top 40 music (strange for the level of dining) randomly got loud and then got quiet. In addition, there is a waterfall light show that goes on right outside the restaurant on the patio for the Wynn's steak house next door, and during each show, we heard the blasting, thumping techno soundtrack that went along with the show as if we at Daniel Boulud had a front row seat. We were not even near the window! (It was so loud that I actually thought the restaurant was blasting the music as part of its soundtrack until I realized there was a show outside.) Besides the fact that this spectacle is cheesy, it is completely ridiculous that you're eating at Daniel Boulud listening to that during dinner. We ordered their prix fixe dinner (3 courses). We were not told of any specials even though we heard other waiters read them to other diners near us. The food was shockingly subpar. This is Vegas, land of luxury and competition! My first course was a Caesar salad, which in addition to being uncreative as an appetizer (why would Boulud serve such an uncreative dish with absolutely NO twist/surprise?) was just blah. There was no presentation or wow factor. My next course was a dry salmon. The MOMENT we were finished with a course the plates were grabbed away. Bread crumbs were never scraped off the table. Lastly, this was supposed to be a special bday celebration which was noted on the reservation. EVERY restaurant brings a bday celebrant something "token" at dessert. (Every other Wynn restaurant did.) When I went to the restroom, my companion was asked, "Is it your birthday or hers?" It was a surprise! Since our prix fixe came with a dessert course, all the restaurant did was scrawl HAPPY BDAY on the dessert SHE ORDERED. Our bill came to $148 dollars.
sit at the bar, you will not be disappointed!. I love food and I love Vegas. I've been to Vegas three times in the last year, and have eaten at Joel Robuchon at the Mansion, Picasso, Guy Savoy, Huber Keller's burger bar, and Bouchon. While each of those restaurants clearly has its strengths, Daniel Boulud is by far my overall favorite for ambiance and food, food, food. I only spent three nights in Vegas this time around, but I made a point of eating at Boulud twice, even foregoing a chance to eat at L'atelier to do so. My suggestion: sit at the bar, which is really more of a lounge. There was no waiting on either night (thurs and sat), and the wonderful server (I regret that I do not remember her name, but she had blonde hair and was a total foodie) expertly guided us through the full menu (which was available at the "luxe but you would be comfortable in jeans" bar). If this server is there, eat whatever she tells you to and drink whatever she tells you to. If she's not, then have the lobster salad, the french onion soup, the coq au vin, **the shortribs for sure** and a few glasses of wine. I love the bar because you can enjoy the finest food in the most relaxed atmosphere. To me, that winning combination pushes Boulud above and beyond the other great fine dining options in Vegas.
decent food but disappointing service. After making reservations more than 2 weeks in advance to celebrate our anniversary, my boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes early. We were told that our table would be ready in a few minutes. Half an hour later and after many scowls, we were finally led to our table. Granted, they gave us a fantastic view of the waterfall, but even an apology or acknowledgment that they were running a little behind would have been appreciated. The waiter was polite but a little aloof. I pointed out a piece of food floating in my untouched water to be exchanged for a fresh glass. It was done quickly but again, no apology. The food, however, was good Not magnificent or to-die-for or even worth the price, but it was certainly above caliber. My opinion is to take your money elsewhere. In a city like Ls Vegas, there are definitely more than enough options to choose from!

This bustling brasserie's luxurious setting draws couples looking for romance, and the decor complements the mood. Tables are topped with candles and covered in white linen; ironwork and tinted glass surround the kitchen; and antique farmhouse windows separate the dining room into intimate sections. The expansive outdoor patio offers spectacular views of the hotel's lagoon. Chef Wes Holton offers signature dishes which include beefsteak tomato with fromage blanc, braised beef short ribs and crispy pork belly with lentils.
MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. 3/2007 -- This is the first time I've ever been compelled to write an online review of any kind. After being seated, we waited fifteen minutes just to get water. It was downhill from there, including a bland, tough steak; a thin, watery shrimp cocktail; and witnessing a waiter spill a drink down the back of a lady sitting at the next table. The manager seemed aloof and callous upon our exit. If you're interested in this type of restaurant, I STRONGLY URGE you to go to Bouchon in the Venetian -- a thousand times better.
We were too late for a reservation here so we ate in the bar.

Very poor service - try some place else. Dined here on 11/09/06. Average food but flat out lousy service. We were ignored from the moment we were seated. Know one approached us for 10-15 minutes to take a drink order. Ended up asking a busyboy to send someone to us. The wine servie was a joke. The wine served presented the bottle but did not poor any to taste saying he would return once we finished our cocktails. Of course he never did so we ended up helping ourself. Our server, when she was around, was so rushed it took all the joy of dining away. The lemon lobster risotto was average but the crispy duck confit was above average. The bartender prepared the best Manhattan I've ever had. All in all, stop in for a drink at the bar but dine elsewhere. Try Sensi at the Bellagio. The food is much better and the service wonderful.
Innovative, Creative Cuisine and Top Notch Service.. The chef, Philippe Rispoli, showed his talents to The Commanderie de Bordeaux Las Vegas Chapter on October 27, 2006. All our members felt that this was one of the best dinners ever prepared for our group. The service was impeccable, thanx to Theresa Valiante and the chef's attention to detail, timing and presentation of a multi-course meal, prepared to match each of the wines, places this among our top favorites. No mean feat for the close scrutiny given by our demanding membership. This event was grand, elegant, and everything we expected and more.
Cozy Restaurant, good food. Daniel Boulud was a pleasant place for dinner with a small group. The sommelier was very helpful, and helped us order just the right wine. Our server was very friendly, and came by often to check on us (but was never intrusive). The food was good, though I wasn't as blown away by the $32 burger as I had expected to be. The fries were fantastic though! Our table had a nice view of the waterfall outside, but I found the light show to be a bit creepy. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
