Nice, affordable alternative to Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt resorts at Lake Las Vegas. MonteLago Village Resort is a wonderful alternative to the Ritz and the Hyatt resorts at Lake Las Vegas. The new Luna di Lusso building across the lake from the village is terrific - we stayed 3 nights in a Studio room w/ a resort view, which was very spacious and well-appointed (especially the kitchenette w/ granite counters and stainless steel appliances). Lots of closet space and beautiful bathroom - the modern decor gave it a loft-like feel...

It's a short walk across the Pontevecchio bridge across the lake to the village itself...Viera (the original building at the resort) is really beautiful as well, but the rooms aren't quite as nice, although there's a very European feel to that part of the resort, with many rooms overlooking the village itself.

Service was very good, as we were able to check in for a late arrival w/ ease, plus check-out went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend these accommodations for families, especially with 1 and 2-bedroom suites available.
