As much as I wanted to, I just can't go 5 stars!. After much research I chose Envy for my husband and I to dine at on the only night we had free while I was on a business retreat. First the hostess got my husbands name wrong, no big deal, but when he corrected her she says, "Whatever, it doesn't matter"! We overlooked that as she was young and inexperienced. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items, but I felt a slight chill from him when we did not order cocktails or wine. We don't drink alcohol, enough said about that. We started with the tuna and crabmeat dynamite, which was delicious, but at $17 was miniscule and overpriced. There was a tiny bit of caviar on top, but not enough to justify the price. It was nicely presented. I ordered the bone-in filet mignon and my husband ordered the bone-in ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly, but I doubt the filet was 16 ounces with bone as indicated. For $49 I expected more than I got. Sad. The server, I felt, should have told us that the sides were enough for at least 2 people as we ordered the lobster mashed potatoes (good while hot but bad when not), the asparagus (so-so), the truffle french fries (tasty but enough to feed 6 people), and the creamed corn, which we both thought the best thing on the menu. Needless to say we could not finish any of the sides, in fact we hardly put a dent in them. I felt like the server was upselling by not telling us the portion size because we didn't order wine. I've been a server so I know about upselling, but at least I was honest with my customers! Our bill came to $185, with dessert, which was unremarkable. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience there. Too bad, because it is a beautiful, romantic setting. Most reviews I've read were 5 stars, but I can't justify it here.

Good. The food here was very good. The lobster mac and cheese was divine. Everything else was pretty good, but the restaurant was so cold, all the food came out cold. The service was great, I had let them know when I made the reservations that it was my friend's birthday. They greeted her with a "happy birthday" and gave her a free dessert plate with various tasty treats.

excellent attention to service and detail, great wine list, and most importantly, made us feel welcome. On my annual Dec. trip to LV, I tried a new steakhouse, having read mostly positive reviews about Envy. We arrived after 9 p.m. on a Sunday to a mostly empty restaurant, and began our meal with a 2005 Frog's Leap Merlot, and our starters were a house salad and crab bisque, both of which were tasty. My guest ordered the 8oz filet rare, and I ordered the porterhouse medium. Her filet was just right, very pink and tasty. My porterhouse, however, was dry and overdone. Upon mentioning this to our server, she (Dawn)was sincerely apologetic and quickly put in an order for a replacement. Unfortunately, the 2nd porterhouse was difficult to cut through, having that rough section of tendon runing all the way through it. Our server was again extremely apologetic, so I asked for a 12oz filet instead, which came out in about 8 minutes. In the mean time, we enjoyed our bourbon creamed corn and port wine mushrooms, both of which were outstanding. My filet came back and it was perfect, and accompanied by three special salts on the side that the restaurant uses for different flavors. While it would be easy to knock a high end steakhouse for not getting it right the first two times, I was more interested in the restaurant's attitude afterward. At no time did I ever get a whiff of annoyance or feel put on the defensive by our server, which to me shows a genuine desire for their customers to be happy. After the 2nd porterhouse, Dawn came out of the kitchen and explained what the head chef said about how you usually only get one or two good porterhouse cuts per cow, even when buying prime beef. She even wrote down 2 wine suggestions I had for their already outstanding wine list. And she gave me the recipe for the creamed corn. So while the food was very good, our server broke down the all too familiar snooty barrier between patron and wait staff by being very engaging, down to earth, and without a hint of phoniness or pretentiousness. And for that I will happily return.

Not worth the trip off the strip.. Not worth the trip off the strip. We were looking forward to our dinner based on past experience at Richard Chamberlain's restaurant in Dallas, however we were very disappointed by Envy. Service was excellent but the food was average. I have never returned my food at a restaurant but came very close. The sea bass arrived stone cold and was topped with crab that was far too fishy tasting. My dinner guest's steak was unfortunately overcooked...and it was cooked as the chef's recommendation.

way overpriced for the quality of food or service. My husband and I were staying at the Renaissance for our anniversary weekend getaway and decided to eat at the Envy. The waiter got the order wrong, the food was extremely average for the price. would've much rather gotten my salad and TGI friday's, and my husband's stake at the OUtback for the quarter of the price.

Great Service, Great Food - Amazing Experience. Had Anniversary dinner at Envy a month after it opened last year. It was relatively empty and we felt like we had 5 people at our service. Had great wine, fantastic steaks (Filet and Ribeye, both cooked perfectly and with great sauces), and amazing service.

Highlight of the evening was an unexpected and custom made dessert with 4 different small desserts and they customized writing on the plate. Overall it was one of may favorite meals.

Price was pretty good, we enjoyed a bottle of wine, two steaks, and appitizers for under $120.

Envy rocks!. My boyfriend and I had our first anniversary dinner here on New Years Eve. They had their regular menu as well as a pre fix menu. I really liked the fact that you weren't forced into paying 200+ per person for a menu with nothing to choose from. The service was great here our waiter was very friendly and gave us great advice about the strip happenings later on in the night. I had the protein sampler and liked the porkchop the best, the steak was good but I am one of the rare people who like it cooked medium well, and it was a bit too pink for me. They had a bunch of different salts that went with each type of meat. The ambience was very warm, a little loud with NYE party hoopla but I'm sure thats not the case every day.

Truly an exceptional place. I am in sales and travel quite often. I have been to many steak houses and this place is simply amazing. Service, food, selection...it has it all!!! The surf and turf is my favorite! Excellent job to everyone's hard work to make the dining experience here one-of-a-kind. One last thing, I think this beats out the very famous steak house also located in Vegas...it really is worth every penny!!!
