On the first Friday of each month, hipsters and trendsetters flock to the Arts District downtown to celebrate the work of local artisans. Myriad shops, studios and restaurants--including the Arts Factory and Dust Gallery--host painters, sculptors and photographers who show and sell their work. Other items like vintage clothing can be found at the Attic, while antiques are sold at the Funk House and Red Rooster.

So much fun!
This is a great event. We try to schedule our trips to Las Vegas to coincide with First Friday. It's huge - a ton of artists showing their wares in the streets, food vendors selling everything you can imagine, galleries and stores open late to showcase products and live music. A free trolley gets you around from site to site. It's great for people watching and you can wander endlessly and enjoy the sites and sounds.
