Poor choice for sushi. I have eaten here two times. Once back in 2006(food was average) and again earlier this year. I have to say that the quality of the sushi is some of the worst that I have had. Fish did not taste fresh, poor sake selection, and the rolls were terrible. I'm guessing the only thing to eat in this restaurant is the teppan style cooking.. I haven't tried it yet, but anyone can make that well.

Avoid this restaurant.. Food was substandard. The california rolls were cold like they just came out of the refrigerator and they looked like the type of sushi sold in supermarket chains. Worst of all, we found bits of avocado stems in the sushi. When we complained they replaced the sushi, but we didn't enjoy it because of the poor quality. The tempura soba also was of poor quality. The tempura batter was too thick and heavy. We make better tempura at home. The server made a half-hearted apology but didn't summon the manager. We will never go to Hamada again.

DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!. This was recommended by the Palms since we could not get into the restaurant there till 10pm. The food here was very expensive and the quality was substandard. I couldn't tell if the sashimi I has was lightly seared or if it was from freezer burn. For the price they charged us, I expected much better and higher quality food. I would not recommend this to anyone nor would I ever go to any of their other restaurants! I WANT my money back for the very disappointing food that was served!
