Why do people like this place?. For being one of the trendiest places to go in Summerlin, the food is absolutly horrible.

Great Place!. This place was very nice and very trendy! I really enjoyed myself. Bartenders were very frienldy and attentive. Food was good.. very good sushi and chicken satay!

Fun Summerlin Hot Spot. The Kona Grill is one of the trendier places to see and be seen in Summerlin. The Happy Hour specials are great from 3pm - 7pm and 10pm - Midnight, but are only available in the bar or outside on the patio. If you want attentive service, this is not the place to go. Yet, if you are looking for a nice spot to enjoy some conversation with a date, Kona is the spot. Also, there are some larger tables on the patio where you can have a great time with a group of friends.

The food is decent and well worth the money. Portions are large and the menu includes some creative dishes. No meal is complete at the Kona Grill without sampling a few things of the sushi menu!

Good for some things, horrible for others. Just recently went there w/ my fiancee & her friends for dinner. Service was horrible: she rarely checked on us, never asked about the food (which was mediocre-tho' my fiancee's ribs were salty, dry, & over sauced). Some of the apps were good, but too much Mex. rice on some dishes. Eventhough we stated how bad the ribs were, we were still charged and the waitress said nothing. Our other companions said food was "ok" to not very good. Over priced for level of quality, tho lrg portions. Lot's of "pretty people" and it was fun to people watch there... Great for hanging out and "being seen".
