delicious, flavorful. This restaurant is one of my favorite. My husband is puerto rican so I have been eating this food for years now. I konw good puerto rican food. We take all of our visitors there when we get company from out of town. The atmosphere is nice and it has that latin side that brings out the romance in you. The service is great, and warm and inviting. I have recommended this spot to alot of people and never had any negative things come back to me.
Bad service, Great food. After reading About El Coqui on this website I thought I would try it.We walked in and the atmoshpere was really nice. The table we sat down at was dirty and it took along time for the waiter to finally clean it. Actually most the time he sat bsing with people. We asked for an appetizer and that never came. When we ordered my husband had the pastelle plate which only comes with one by the way. If you want 2 it is $10 for a plate. The prices were really outragous for the portion size. We never got our beans with our dinner plate and the salad was just lettus with a slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber. The pastelles were alright, I have had better. The Pionono was really good, but I would not go back to this place.
Exciting Food. A friend recommended that we try El Coqui and it was wonderfull. The food was not your usual fair here in Las Vegas. We started with Chicken Soup and Mofungo and had a beef stew. I highly recomend El Coqui.
Great Find. It was quite a find the evening I ate with some friends at El Coqui. In an area where Latin Food is equated with Mexican it was great to find Puerto Rican food. Pasteles is my favorite and they were excellent. My wife had a Beef Stew that was also great. El Coqui is a great change of pace.
Secret Find. When I visited Las Vegas little did I suspect that I would find a restaurant that catered to my ethnic food. The decor was like the little restaurants that are in Puerto Rico. The management and staff are warm and inviting. I took a buisness associate to lunch and we both were wowed by our meals.
