Editorial Review for Sedona – by Amanda Scotese
In Short
The zigzag roof, slanted walls and flaming poles of Sedona stand out in suburbia. Inside, the open space includes areas with bar-high tables, micro-suede lounge chairs and circular booths. A separate dining room and stone patio provide more secluded seating. Starters include duck confit spring rolls in light orange-marmalade sauce. For entrees, there's roasted sea bass in herbed tomato sauce.

Don't be intimidated by Sedona's contemporary architecture and upscale design! The restaurant/lounge/gaming is a beautiful place where you can get amazing food but my favorite part is that after just a few times playing video poker at the bar, the bartender, Ryan knew me by name! Great gaming specials, great drinks, and in my opinion the best rueben in town! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the cheese fondue. There is a great wine selection and the staff will help you pair any meal with a great wine. One of my other favorite aspects of the venue is their Image Wednesday and LAB Saturday events. Sedona has hired a DJ for these nights and the restaurant becomes a pretty amazing ultra lounge. I haven't found this in any other place on the West Side. Check this place out at any hour...you'll love it!
Pros: Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere
Cons: You might want to valet on Wed and Sat

We drove out Flamingo to the 215 beltway where we had Open Table reservations at this very contemporary restaurant. Much of the bar area was taken up by a good sized wedding party and the noise level on this Sunday evening was very high. I chose the fresh Alaskan halibut with chorizo, new potato, zucchini and clams finished in a saffron beurre blanc. My wife ordered the pepper crusted Ahi tuna, served with Provencal vegetable relish, roasted eggplant whipped potatoes and lemon oil. Both entrees were delicious, but her's won this evening’s award for best entrée.
Pros: Excellent food, active bar
Cons: Very noisy
