Editorial Review for Bent Fork American Grill – by Ephraim Mallery
In Short
From the giant fork door handle to the soft cushioned booths, this restaurant feels homey. Warm woods and comfortable tables in the bar are perfect for lingering from happy hour until the evening fades. The menu spans Southwestern rolls, Louisiana-sauced chicken sandwiches and salmon fish and chips. Sandwiches, giant salads and burgers offer a tasty, cheaper alternative to the house specials. For dessert there's a warm apple cobbler with ice cream.

I've gone to The Bent Fork for their French Dip for years. It's the best French Dip I've ever had and it's my favorite sandwich in Denver. The hamburgers are also excellent. The atmosphere is great and there is lots of parking available. They have a nice bar too.

I saw the reviews for this restaurant here on Citysearch and figured it was worth the trip to Saudi-Aurora to give it a try. Wow! what a find! The restaurant has been there for many years - but if it weren’t for Citysearch we would have never found it. We made reservations through OpenTable - but probably didn't need to. We were there on a busy Friday night and were seated promptly. The digs are very warm and comfortable. Exposed brick, nice lighting, and comfortable tables. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our server made helpful suggestions and explained details of some of the dishes. The menu is wonderful. It's all over the board with flavors - which are good for pleasing all kinds of tastes. My husband had the buffalo pot-roast. It came in a wonderful presentation and the minute he touched the top with his fork, it was so tender it flaked apart on its own. The flavor was amazing. I had the mac and cheese with lobster. Comfort food all grown up! It had a nice combination of cheeses, which held up great with the tender lobster pieces. We will definetly be back and have recommended this place to all our friends.
Pros: Very comfortable, great menu and super service.
