I'm not really a fan of French food, but majority of my group wanted to eat here. The food was pretty good, though it is kind of a scramble to find something more free of French influence. I had the Chicken Paillard which was pretty good. If you sit on the patio, you have a perfect view of the Bellagio's fountain display as well. Besides that I'm not a fan of French food, my only real issue was that I paid in cash and my waitress automatically assumed I did not want any change. I asked her three times for change back over 30 minutes and she kept trying to tell me that she could only give me a certain amount back.
Great ham and cheese crepe. good food, nice view of the Bellagio across the street
Patio Is A Must.
As a belated birthday present, I wanted to take my sister to a nice restaurant of her choice. She read about Mon Ami Gabi and wanted to try their breakfast so we made our reservation via Open Table for December 27th at 10 AM. When I made the reservation, there was a box I could write a note to the Maitra D'. I wrote we're celebrating my sister's belated birthday and she wanted to have the breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. Hoping we could order a dessert and I could ask them for a candle or something for her but when we get there, we're never asked about it at all.
We were there a few minutes early. I don't know how long she's been working for that day but the hostess at the door wasn't very welcoming and didn't even crack a smile. The popular patio was wide open and it was a very nice morning so we decided to have a table out there. She took us to the very end of patio where nobody was around, even though only less than 20% of tables were occupied at the patio. It was still chilly and the heating pole wasn't lit yet. When we asked her about it, she said it should be turned on soon and she left. I was worried if our first experience at Mon Ami Gabi would be like her, stuck up with a horrible attitude. However our waitress came immediately after the hostess left and told us this spot would be too cold for us and the heating pole was not working so she moved us to the right in the center where we're surrounded by three working heating poles. If I were a manager or the owner of the restaurant, I would hire someone at least smiles for the "greeting" hostess. I say the first impression is very important.
Unlike the unfriendly hostess at the door, our waitress was fantastic. She was very friendly and attentive, she made the rest of our M.A.G. experience so much better.
The coffee was pretty good, not too weak but not too strong or bitter. Their fresh squeezed orange juice was also good. I've ordered their crab eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes and my sister ordered chicken and cheese crape. When I saw my eggs benedict's potion, I was not sure if it would fill my big tummy but it did. I didn't see the big chunk of crab meat but it sure did taste like crab and the buttery home fries (breakfast potatoes) were tasty too. My sister's crape had some brie cheese in it and had a very elegant taste.
We're too full to order any desserts but I still wished if they asked me if I wanted to do something for my sister.
By the end of our breakfast, the patio tables were completely full. It was too early for Bellagio's fountain show but still it was fun to watch people who past by. At least we had three or four people who shouted "Viva Las Vegas!" or something like that during our 1.5 hours or so dining time and I thought there were more variety of fun and wacky people out there than my hometown Los Angeles.
The food was good if not exceptionally great. With the fabulous patio seating and the great service we've got from our waitress, we'll be back for breakfast or lunch.
very nice waiter. Food is ok, the outside tables offer a nice view of the fountain. This was the third time when we ate here, and I must say that contrary to the previous two times, the waiter this time was awesome. It was quite a tall guy with a mustache, very professional and who made us feel really welcome and comfortable to be here. We truly enjoyed our meal and felt like we were taken care of the way we supposed to be and even more. So, 5 STARS for the nice waiter, just three stars for the restaurant overall. I think it is overpriced and too phony with their fake French accents.
Most romantic restaurant in las vegas. It over looks the Bellagio fountains. The best steak and pepper sauce I have ever had! Very reasonable for such quality food and setting on the las vegas strip.
I recommend you make a reservation. I did have to wait 20 minutes, but that was my fault. This is a MUST GO!
I don't get it. I really wanted to like this place. We chose to have a late-night, romantice dinner here after a show at Caesar's Palace. We arrived around 10 p.m.l prepared to pay about $200 for a memorable meal. We got seated next to a family with two young boys (younger than 6 years old). I know this is Vegas, but really? At 10 p.m.? And of course these boys were obnoxious, loud, and whiny because it was late and this venue was not appropriate for them. We tried to ignore this family only to find that our waiter turned out to be very pushy. It became obvious very quickly that he knew nothing about cuisine or wine, but was clearly trained to upsell everything regardless of the request or desires of the customer. I had looked at the menu earlier in the day and knew exactly what I wanted, however the waiter proceeded to attempt to talk me out of everything. This was very annoying. Basically, we felt this was a TGI Friday's experience for about 5 times the cost.
Great View and Food!.
Normally I'd hesitate on giving 5 stars, but for Mon Ami Gabi it is a MUST!
We sat on the patio with a view of the Bellagio fountains. WOW!
Great Service! Always attentive. The waitress was able to explain the menu in perfect detail with great suggestions for us being new to the restaurant.
The food was FABULOUS! There was six of us in our party and all of us we more than happy with our dinners.
I would definitely go back!
