The Producers Editorial Review
In Short
Max Bialystock, a failing Broadway producer, concocts a novel get-rich-quick scheme with his mousy accountant, Leo Bloom. They find the worst play ever written, hire the worst director and abscond the money when the play closes. Hilarity ensues when "Springtime for Hitler" becomes a hit, amid a bevy of show-stopping numbers and creative choreography from director Susan Stroman. The play's multiple Tony awards and an oft-B-list touring cast make it a monster sensation on the road.
