Amazing Food! Must try!. One of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas. I love Hawaiian food! This guy does it straight up from Hawaii! There is nothing bad that I have tasted in this place. It's not a place that's cheap but lets just say you get what you pay for. Love Kalbi Ribs, Calamari is amazing. I could just order these appetizers and be good for a whole meal and then have a few yummy drinks! Again, don't be bill shocked but this place is as authentic as they come in a great atmosphere! Service is top notch! Can't wait to visit again soon.

This sophisticated Hawaiian-fusion restaurant gives mainlanders an upscale taste of the islands.. In Short
Roy Yamaguchi opened his first restaurant in 1988 in Honolulu, Hawaii, blending European cooking techniques with locally produced ingredients and Asian spices. Today, his Hawaiian-fusion cuisine is served in a sophisticated atmosphere with dark woods, Asian accents and contemporary, island-inspired art. In addition to "Roy's classics" like Hawaiian-style misoyaki butterfish and the popular melting hot chocolate souffle, each location offers daily specials prepared by the local chef, all of whom are trained personally by Roy.

Excellent experience. This upscale restaurant chain, founded by award winning chef Roy Yamaguchi, serves innovative Hawaiian fusion cuisine with a focus on fresh fish. My wife ordered the 3-course prix fixe meal which included a beautiful sampler appetizer of a crispy coconut shrimp stick, Szechuan baby back ribs and a crispy shrimp potsticker that she graciously shared. Her entree was Roy?s signature macadamia crusted mahi mahi in lobster cognac butter sauce accompanied by mashed potatoes and baby vegetables. I ordered the macadamia crusted white fish which turned out to be the same entree. The sauce would have benefited by the addition of more lobster and cognac, but it still complimented the fish which was properly prepared. A delicious melting hot chocolate souffle was included plus my wife received a fruit tart with the plate inscribed with Happy Birthday wishes

Big Letdown. My wife and I have been to Roy's in both Maui and Clearwater and always seek one out when we travel as don't have one where we live. It pains me to say that our experience was a big letdown from our expectations. Our server had no "bedside manner" not to mention the service was slow -- close to 40 minutes from salads to main course. This might explain why one of the dishes was cooked beyond taste, not that our server would know as he never came back to ask. Finally, this looks to be a converted location of another restaurant rather than upscale dining you might expect from a Roy's.

We will of course be back at Roy's in the future, but Vegas has too much to offer to go back to this location.

One of the Best. After eating in the best restaurants on the Strip we stopped at Roy's on the way to the airport without a reservation on a tight schedule. My wife mentioned it to the hostess and everyone we came in contact with expressed their desire to help us trough the process and make our flight on time. The food was outrageously great and the server was a 15 out of 10. He went so far as to box up dessert for us to take on the plane. My wife's $30 prix fixe worth every penny and more. I had the best Monkfish I have ever eaten. Can't wait to get back or to try the other locations. Very impressed!
