Editorial Review for Alize at the Palms – by Keith Wagstaff

In Short
Rochat, local culinary guru behind the popular Andre's, offers a dining experience high on elegance and altitude. Visitors are greeted by mahogany walls inlaid with glass displays of the 1,600-variety wine collection. The dimly lit dining room is accented with pink linens and classic portrait paintings. Adventurous dishes abound on the contemporary French menu. The Venison Four Ways takes diners through a foursquare of carefully arranged sweet sausage, tender roasted loin and venison creations.

User Reviews for Alize at the Palms

4 Star Rating: Recommended

The title says it all! The view is amazing (we went at sunset) and the food is excellent. However, I feel that for $95 per person (the prix fixe dinner), one could do a lot better. The atmosphere was very nice, even if the service was a little distant (although very attentive). Recommended for the view and the experience if you have money to burn. I'm glad we went once, but won't be back.

Pros: View

Cons: Cost to Quality Ratio

My husband and I went to Alize for the first time Wed night, and it was literally the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The ravioli appetizer was amazing, and the chef sent out a darling tastings of sea bass and salmon ceviche that was out of this world. My husband said the filet was better than any he had had before. The view, the ambiance, the amazing service...it was worth every penny. I felt like we were treated like royalty; it was completely not snobby but still totally chic. I have never been so impressed with a restaurant. My only regret is not discovering this gem until the last evening of our trip; if we had known, we would have gone every night!!!

Pros: The food was so good it almost made me cry

Cons: none whatsoever
