In Short – Rochat, local culinary guru behind the popular Andre's, offers a dining experience high on elegance and altitude. Visitors are greeted by mahogany walls inlaid with glass displays of the 1,600-variety wine collection. The dimly lit dining room is accented with pink linens and classic portrait paintings. Adventurous dishes abound on the contemporary French menu. The Venison Four Ways takes diners through a foursquare of carefully arranged sweet sausage, tender roasted loin and venison creations.
Great.

The best meal I've eaten in Las Vegas. Period. Better than than Keller, Thomas or Hubert. Better than Wolfgang. Better than Palmer. Better than Selvaggio. (Haven't yet been to Robuchon or Savoy) Had the Chef's seven course tasting menu with the wine pairings and each course was superb. Highly imaginative, beautifully presented, with excellent service. Wine pairings were perfect. View was spectacular. Somewhat noisy, as the Palms caters to a younger crowd that has money but is a little lacking in manners. Take out a second mortgage before you go. Absolutely the best place for a special occasion, but you'll need a far bigger bankroll than what I have to be a regular here. I have to say, though, that my memory of this meal will last long beyond the memory of the money. Truly outstanding in every way. Unlike many other high-end restaurants, you absolutely get what you pay for here.
- Pros: Food, service, ambience all superb, and I mean superb.
- Cons: Noise, price
Great View, Food OVERATED, TERRIBLE Service
by colellm
The view at this place is definately nice, but not worth the price tag. Rosmary's (off strip) had better food and better service, by far (although the food at each location did not live up to NYC standards).
Our first server was HORRIBLE. When asked how the chicken entree was, he responded "chicken is chicken", which is the rudest answer I have ever gotten. Luckily, after this we were helped by a different server who was very attentive and kind.
Appetizer presentation (smoked salmon) was amazing but in the end tasted like a hunk of smoked salmon I could have gotten from a buffet.
Filet minon entree was very bland. Deserts were pretty good.
- Pros: View (only thing in its favor)
- Cons: FOOD/SERVICE
Great View, Good Food, Not Worth the Hefty Price Tag

The title says it all! The view is amazing (we went at sunset) and the food is excellent. However, I feel that for $95 per person (the prix fixe dinner), one could do a lot better. The atmosphere was very nice, even if the service was a little distant (although very attentive). Recommended for the view and the experience if you have money to burn. I'm glad we went once, but won't be back.
- Pros: View
- Cons: Cost to Quality Ratio
