Waste of time and money. Well, we passed this place during the day and was watching the television screen outside the place because they were showing video clips of the girls on the bar dancing. How could you not like hot girls in tight jeans dancing around? So we decided to give this place a try later that night. $10 to get into this place.....and then the nightmare began.....hundreds of people crowded in a room probably only meant to comfortably hold about 50. You couldn't move without having to shove people out of the way, or having people shove you. $10 for a freakin small Margarita! The music was so loud the speakers were distorting and the bartender couldn't even understand my drink order. Sure, when we got in there they had all the Coyote Ugly girls doing a choreographed dance number, but after that they just invited all the regular gals in the place to dance on the bar. This was ok for one song, but then some fatties started getting up there, and that ruined it. That sounds wrong of me, but when I'm paying that kind of money I want to see the professionals. This place was just not a good time at all, and we left after only about 30 minutes.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT ON VEGAS STRIP. After waiting in line to get in, we were told there is a dress code. Men could not wear tank tops - they had to have their arms covered. Not sure why, because once in, we discovered the dump. Barn to be exact, complete with chicken wire on the walls. 6p.m. to 9 p.m. is happy hour, 2 for 1 drinks. However, that does not mean half price drinks. First round needs to be paid in full. Keep your receipt to get the second round free. That is their way of getting you to stay for a second drink, because there is no other reason to stay. The staff is snooty and rude. There are no chairs nor bathrooms. We were also told that the dancing would not start until around 9 p.m. So if you want to stand, drink expensive beer and be treated badly, this is the place for you!
Not worth any money. They should pay you to go in!. Went June 2007, Friday night. 45 minute wait. No dress code, very casual. Dive bar atmosphere. Old music. 10.00 fee, not VIP or special consideration for the beautiful people, thus, alot of unattractive clientel. Only two "Coyotes" . Only one with the mic paying any attention to the crowd. 15 oveweight, audience members dancing on the bar. Very gross to watch. Two or three 50 to 60 year old overweight women dancing on the bar as well. Boring, not worth 2 cents much less 10.00. Would NEVER go again. I let everyone know to avoid this place when going to Vegas.
This place is trying way too hard.
I can't agree more with some of the reviewers below- this place is nothing like what you would expect (especially for Vegas), movie or not.
The girl on the mic was SO obnoxious- she was very pretty, and I get the whole "trying to be like the movie" thing. But who wants to hear a girl yelling, "Raise your drinks mutha F-ers!" or "Who wants a drink? I'll come sit on your face." I mean, really?
The other Coyote girls dancing on the bar looked so bored- I actually felt bad for them.
And then there's the random drunk girls who were dancing on the bar. The reviewer below said it best- having ugly fat girls dancing on your bar is probably the quickest way to get people to leave. Yes, it's shallow- but it's Vegas for crying out loud! NO ONE wants to watch sloppy fat chicks sticking their fingers in the mouths and making "$exy" eyes at the people down below. It's just WRONG!
A Disappointment Don't Waste Your Ten Dollars!. We headed to Coyote Ugly on a Wednesday night. The cover was $10 and it was a major disappointment. The bar was nothing like the bar featured in the movie "Coyote Ugly". It was crammed full of people and the entertainment consisted of one Coyote dancing on a platform at the back of the room and a bunch of random drunken girls from the crowd dancing on the bar/stage at the front of the room. The highlight of the entertainment occurred when the Coyote poured massive amounts of alcohol down the throats of the random girls who were dancing on the bar. So much alcohol was being poured down these girls throats that their eyes were bulging out of their heads and they appeared to be choking as the Coyote forced them to chug approximately 3/4 of a bottle of boos. It was repulsive and not my idea of entertainment...if I wanted to see this I could visit any college party and see the exact same thing. Watching the show the search for the next Coyote the hosts kept saying over and over "A Coyote needs to be a triple threat..able to sing, dance and bar tend"..... I scratch my head and wonder why this type of talent would be necessary in order to pour alcohol down women's throats...couldn't anyone handle this responsibility? This bar was a definite disappointment! Save your ten dollars....its not worth it!
UGLY indeed, all around. a total scam. only two girls working and a host of overweight guests up on the bar dancing. Paid a $10 cover and waited in a line that was maintained for no reason. the place wasn't even that crowded when I got inside. STAY AWAY
Who doesn't love bar-top dancing girls?. This is a fun spot to drop in and grab a drink and enjoy some live entertainment. The girls are beautiful, the music is loud, and the atmosphere can be fun. This isn't a place to really "camp out" for the night, though. The bar is smallish (for Vegas) and the routine can get tired after a while.
boring boring boring !!!. It was my first time in Vegas from 6/08 to 6/13 and got to experience some awesome clubs girls and food during my stay. Unfortunately I did waste about 2 hours of my trip on Coyote Ugly in the NY NY hotel....once we got in, there were a bunch of people standing around while one or two coyote girls are dancing around tryin to pump the crowd up....the girl w the mic had an annoying voice and the jukebox or cds crashed once or twice.....they try to get a few girls from the crowd to get up on this mini stage and dance around like its some big deal.....and that leaves the crowd with nothing else to do but stand around and stare....mayb if they kept the mic stuff to a minimum and changed the music, the spot might be more fun....nothing more annoying than a coyote on a mic telling the crowd to stop standing around and have fun....when theres nothing to do but stand around....we left after one beer
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. This NYC bar made famous in a movie by the same name now has multiple locations offering booze and bar dances.
Great time at the UGLY!. I had the chance to go to Coyote Ugly in the New York hotel in Las Vegas last year and I had the time of my life. The bartenders were great! They involved everyone in the crowd, talked on the the microphone and got all the women on the bar to dance. Best time I have ever had! I went to San Antonio Texas this past weekend with some friends and stopped in the Coyote Ugly on the Riverwalk completly different experience. The Coyote's didnt not pay any attention to the crowd at all! It was not fun. we left after thirty min. I think that it has everything to do with the type of girls that you hire. The Coyote's in Vegas were awesome to everyone and made it fun! The coyotes in San Antonio were boring and didnt associate with the crowd at all.
