Don't waste your time or money at RR on
Eastern. I went in with a group of 15 friends on 7/1, and the service was awful. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks (mostly waters). After taking our order, didn't see our server for 30 minutes. Asked for a pitcher of water at the bar since we weren't getting refills, bartender refused to get a pitcher but went to find the waitress. 10 minutes later, no refills, and bartender still refused to give us a pitcher of water! Finally came for refills, left with glasses, came back over 10 minutes later.
By the time meals came, they came out slowly, one at a time. Last person finished eating before all meals came out. 1 person was never served. After 1hr 40min in the place, I asked for checks, as we were headed to the airport. Took 15 minutes to get checks! We paid quickly and left, but I went back to talk to the manager after taking everyone to the airport, because he had the audacity to charge each of us a 20% mandatory gratuity. While I understand this practice is standard, 20% is high, and the service didn't warrant nearly that amount of gratuity. the manager REFUSED to consider refunding gratuity, even while acknowledging that service was not up to par. Said he would have maybe considered it before closing our checks, even though he acknowledged that it took too long to get the checks in the first place.
This was among the worst service experiences I've ever seen. Not only was this caused by having only one server help a large table, but it was hindered by a manager who didn't get involved, but admitted that he witnessed the situation happen. I used to love this place, and now will never go again, and will discourage as many as I can from ever visiting a RoadRunner.
Corporate RR: I'd love to hear from you.
My kinda spot. this place makes me laugh because of how much no one really cares, but in a weird sense i like that, leave me alone and let me drink away my sorrows of the day without any interruptions, thanks,
Lazy waiter/bartender. My wife and I were in there the other nite for a few drinks and dinner. They have a great menu, and the food is even better, but the staff was LAZY. From the time we were seated, it took almost 20 minutes until someone decided to take our order. And then I noticed that our waiter was busy chatting up a storm with the bartender when our drinks were empty! Then when we re-ordered drinks the bartender was too busy texting! The staff belongs at McDonalds, but then they would just get fired over there!
Bad Televisions. I love Roadrunner, its a place to take the family and get good food. The atmosphere is well done. The only downside is the TVs around the bar and seating area are terrible. The color and brightness are fading on the HD TVs, and the tube TVs are trashed. If they would replace even a few, I would give the place 5 stars. If you don't care about watching NFL games etc...then I highly recommend.
Roadrunners by 215N. I was very pleased when I walked into Roadrunners but was soon met with displeasure. Our waitress was rather lazy and forgetful. She had to take our order for drinks numerous times. Then it took forever to finally get them. She often acted as if we were inconvenient to her and acted as if we couldn't get the time of day...When we asked for our bills separate she rolled her eyes and walked away. I would suggest giving Roadrunners a shot but don't be surprised if you get bad service!
Great food!!. The food here is amazing. They have the absolute BEST macaroni and cheese in town. I love the atmosphere. Roadrunner is one of my favorite places to go. The graveyard bartenders are always extremely friendly as well.
A Favorite Place. I have gone to both this one and the one on Flamingo Road and both are favorites of mine. The food is consistently good (especially the steak salad and the mac and cheese). The decor is fantastic and the bar area is anything but standard with high back "living room" chairs and huge booths. The best thing though is the patio. Fire pits, couches, booths, comfy chairs and (at the Flamingo location) at bench swing. Well done landscaping adds to the experience. It's a great place to watch sports too - indoors and out with out having a large screen tv over the bar. Call ahead for outdoor seating though - they often have special events that close the patio.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Singles mingle by the fire pit and dine on Dr. Pepper steak tacos and spinach-and-artichoke dip.
Average Food/Great Decor.
I've been to the Roadrunner twice. Once to the bar for appetizers and once to the dining room. The appetizers were above average. The dinner I ordered - Dr. Pepper Steak Tacos - wasn't very good. The meat was stringy and tough. My husband ordered the Meat Loaf and LOVED it.
Regardless of the food, this restaurant is MEGA COOL. The bar has multi colored leather wing chairs. The southwest decor and outside seating area (with fire pits) makes this a must for out of town guests. The prices are good and the service is too. Just don't order the Dr Pepper Steak Tacos...
Great value.. It was nice going to a bar in Vegas where they actually remember you and you can still have some drinks without needing a credit check. The food was actually very good also.
