Out of business a few years ago.. Out of business a few years ago. The location is now run by Jimmy's Cafe, which has great food and great service.

what a restaurant in the desert.
What a surprise to find a real New York Italian restaurant in the middle of the desert. We walked in with a party of 10, looked at the menu and thought we were in Brooklyn. The portions were huge, enough for another meal or two. The service was great and the owners walked around like long lost friends.
The place was packed and the tables turned and all your saw were people carrying out leftovers. they never rushed us and allowed us to linger of expresso and dessert. I would go to this restaurant every time I am in Vegas.

Great food. Mama Jo's isn't much for atmosphere, with its strip mall setting. The food is tremendous, though, and portions are huge. Prices are reasonable. My first trip was prompted by an Italian coworker who recommended the place. Try the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce.
