What People Are Saying About Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa Casino

In Short – A few miles off the Strip, this property transports patrons to an Argentinean estancia. It infuses sophistication into a tranquil setting. The presence of the ultra-hip Whiskey Sky (from Rande Gerber, famed developer and husband of Cindy Crawford) is just one example. Along with a world-class casino, a 10-screen movie theater, a 10,000 square foot European day spa and a state-of-the-art pool area, the resort is also home to the very first Las Vegas on-property, working vineyard.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:

- The Extra:
- Sign up for their boarding pass and hop around to accumulate points for specials reserved just for members.
- The Extras:
- The 4,000 square foot Penthouse Suite comes with butler service and a baby grand piano. The Whiskey Suite--a 2,750 sq. foot-party suite--has a DJ station with a terrace bar and barbecue.
- Save Money:
- Catch a free ride on the Green Valley Ranch shuttle that stops between the hotel, McCarran Airport and Mandalay Bay. Call hotel for shuttle schedule.

After some problems with my room, housekeeping admited they don't always change the robes or the sheets. The Casino is dead, the staff is rude. The food cannot campare to the rest of the Las Vegas sceen.
The outside property, spa, pool and exercise room are extremly nice.
I would go back to use the spa but would stay somewhere else.
- Pros: Great Spa
- Cons: Bad Service-Housekeeping
Best Off Strip Hotel and Spa Resort around. Everything you could ask for.

I travel to Vegas More then 12 times a year, when I stay at the GVR I never feel the need to leave. Every Need can be met the Gambling, the Dining, and of course the High quality rest relaxation and entertainment. Beds are some of the nicest in town the staff subtle and hard working. Accommodations Hip, functional, nice most importantly clean. The resort is maintained beautifully, the Pool and Adult Only Pool are second to none. Walking distance to shopping, Room Service friendly Great Off Strip Experience relaxing or exciting as you want it to be. All Ages Mostly 18-45 Core Party People range 21-40 all getting along great. Enjoy your time don?t forget a massage!
- Pros: Off Strip, Clean, New, High Class, Ambience, Parking, And Wonderful Staff

This is the place to stay for those who want an upscale Las Vegas experience without the crowds and hassle associated with staying on the Strip. We have stayed at GVR twice and been impressed with the property each time. The rooms are just fantastic as is the service. We love the pool area which overlooks the valley. The hotel is adjacent to the District offering many shopping, entertainment and dining options.
- Pros: Upscale, away from the Strip
- Cons: Away from Strip
Best Place off the Strip

This place is awesome! The pool area is so great you almost don't want to spend time in the casino....almost! Although we are in our late 20's we hate staying on the strip. This was a great way to be in Vegas. Not the cheapest ride to the strip (about $20 cab fair each way)....however on our second day we stayed at GVR all day...it had everything we wanted or needed.
The rooms are great....the whole resort is awesome. We will stay here next time in Vegas.
Only bad thing is they held $500.00 on a credit card for a week and a half! Our room was fully paid for when we arrived so I think holding this amount was a bit much and the hold should have been lifted when we left the hotel. Just be warned to bring a card that you don't mind having frozen (read don't use a debit card etc)
- Pros: Off the strip elegance
- Cons: Putting a hold on credit card past our stay

Green Valley is just teh place to go if you are so "over" the Vegas scene and want a more relaxed luxury vacation. You wont find too much of the teeney-bopper types here but you will find a really laid back crown in their upper 20's to 50's. The pool is too die for and the staff is out of this world.
