Editorial Review for Press 195 – by Lisa Marie Rovito
The Scene
If the dining room looks empty, look again. Chances are the garden out back is hopping, with happy Slopers sipping wines that start less than $20 per bottle and munching on more than a dozen kinds of pressed sandwiches. It's not exactly a "wine bar" as the sign says, but it's certainly a bright and airy choice for lunch or dinner, with or without the vino.
The Food
Pressed sandwiches make a flawless transition from day to night, always warm and satisfying if done just right. And these are. Choose from Italian-cured soppressetta, Cuban-inspired homemade roast pork and pickles or a delicious home-roasted turkey and cheese. Vegetarian options abound as well. The owners focus on fresh local ingredients such as Hudson Valley apples, New York sharp cheddar and chewy ciabatta bread from nearby Uprising Bakery. Kids can order pressed PB&J or the inventive pressed hot dog.

I've tried many things here, and always good! I love the consistency. Everybody likes the sandwiches here, but please try their salads, too. They are big and great!!
Pros: FOOD
Cons: slow service

you know those stupid sayings, like "before you die, you must at least once visit the grand canyon..." or drive a ferrari, or kiss a girl/boy, or visit paris... i say, "you must go to press195 and eat their #9 sandwich at least once in your life time". it is hands down, THE GREATEST SANDWICH IN THE WORLD!!!! having no personality whatsoever, i always tell everyone they need to try this sandwich. the #9 is a variation of a cuban sandwich without the ham, which in my opinion, takes away the flavor of the pork. it contains pork, onions, garlic spread, jalepenos inside a crispy warm press195 signature bread. i never get sick of this sandwich, and will sacrifice my life to spread the good news! get #9!!!!!
Pros: sandwich
Cons: none
