Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.

Best Limeade! Great burgers! Get the TOTS!. I am a lime fanatic so when I find a restaurant that serves limeade (plain and pure is my favorite), I have to try it. Sonic's is the best limeade I've had. Hands down. The burgers are tasty and the tots are always crispy, hot, and delicious. The service is fast and courteous (though once they gave us back too much change and we gave it back). I visit Vegas every 3 months or so and I always make a point of visiting this Sonic. A good, solid fast food meal.
