SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND WAS ABLE TO GET ME OUT IN A TIMELY MATTER CUZ I HAD TO GO TO WORK!! I WILL BE GOING TO HER FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! =) I ALSO REALLY LIKE THE ATMOSPHERE IN THERE!!! I LIKED FACEBOOKING WHILE GETTING MY HAIRDONE!! LOL.. WHO WOULDNT ANY MORE THESE DAYS!! I LOVE MOXIE STUDIO!!!!! AND NICOLE!!
Fabulous!. A friend who recently moved to town highly recommended Moxie Salon. I’ve lived in Summerlin for 6 years and never had chance to try Moxie as I was comfortable with my stylist. I can’t see myself going anywhere else, Moxie is a godsend. Best service, great prices, super friendly stylists and staff. I had a wonderful experience and fun time there, too.
Emmanuel is Amazing !! My hair never looked better!. The First time I went to Moxie my hair was 20 shades of blond. Emmanuel has it to a beautiful color and I have never had so many complements in my 51 years of life nor, has my hair ever looked this good. I came from Houston and had a great stylist there but could never find someone even close to my stylist there until 9 months ago when I happen to find Moxie and better yet, Emmanuel. He is amazing with color and makes it look effortless. Of course the French accent never hurts and I love the atmosphere. I would recommend Emmanuel to anyone who needs their hair corrected and to stay looking the same. He spent a lot of time with me the first two appointments because it was so bad. Now it's in (nice glass of wine and a computer while I wait on the color) and out. His cuts are surpurb as well and his up dos are amazing and creative. It took me 9 years in Vegas, but I finally found the perfect stylist. Thank you soooo much!! I can't say enough you will just have to see for youself. D.D.
Individual and Caring service. I can’t thank Moxie enough for how you have changed and improved my life. My hair is no longer a problem that I think about every day and agonize over every time I go out in public. My only regret is that I didn't come to Moxie salon earlier, instead of stressing about my hair and trying other salons in the area. I guess I had to go through a journey before I was ready for Moxie, but the prices are really reasonable and I’m never going anywhere else. I cannot describe how much it improved my life and attitude.
I WAS VERY UNHAPPY AT FIRST BUT I SPOKE TO CARLOS AND HE WILL FIXTHE PROBLEM FREE OF CHARGE.I WILL RETURN TO THIS SALON AND KEEP EVERYONE UPDATED.
Today I went back and seen Carlos. I am so pleased with his haircuts and professionalism. Thanks Carlos. Sherry
Don't ever go to Carlos. I just moved to Vegas from LA and went to Moxie Hair Studios because I thought they had an impressive website. But it was a whole nother story when I walked in. They gave me Carlos, he sat me in his chair with beads of sweat falling from his for head (I mean that's nasty, a big fat gross man sweating all over you while you're trying to have an experience). He asked me how I liked my hair, I told him I just wanted a trim. Then when he started cutting my hair, he turned me away from the mirror and chopped all my hair off.. I was very pissed off to say the lest. Moxie should fire Carlos because he doesn't know what he's doing, he doesn't listen to his clients and he THINKS he knows it all. I think not! Go back to beauty school and start all over again. Horrible place to go. I don't recommend it at all....
I went back to Carlos today for my base color...so beautiful and shiny!!!!
Thank God I didn't pay any attention to those few negative reviews...I have NEVER had better hair day's! As with anything...there are always some sour grapes in the bunch!
Thanks Carlos for once again making my hair beautiful!!!!
EMMANUEL, a MASTER STYLIST?? - WAKE UP!! HORRIBLE!!!!.
A friend of mine referred me to the "Master Stylist" Emmanuel, at Moxie. While I have complete trust in my friends taste and advice I decided to go.
Well ... Let's just say that the reviews on this site are probably written entirely by him to give his EGO a boost. He lacks any amount of people skills whatsoever!! And the language barrier is pure B**SH** ....
RUDE, ARROGANT AND MEAN IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, IS DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOUR FROM!
Let's get down to the reason for my review. I came for a hair cut from the "Master Stylist". I told him how I wanted my hair cut and hoping and anticipating for the best, he left it looking uneven and too full on one side, when I wanted to comment on what he was doing he would simply roll his eyes back and shrug his shoulders as if he didn't give a damn! Needless to say, I left disappointed. It was a horrible experience to say the least!
I decided to call and ask if I can have a redo with someone else. I told the receptionist that I was afraid to go back to him because I feared he would retaliate and cause more damage just to be spiteful. As soon as I walked in he slivered over to me and I was so uncomfortable, he sat me in the chair and began this uncontrollable argument with me basically telling me how wrong I was! Wait a minute, aren't I the customer?? Isn't he suppose to grin and bare it, especially in this servicing field? I was placed in another uncomfortable situation, I was afraid, intimidated and treated like the bad guy. He was extremely rude, and inconsiderate of my feelings.
Finally, I was seen by the Director of the salon, Fausto came to my rescue and with a smile on his face he quickly fixed the damage caused by Emmanuel, too bad he can't fix the emotional damage that he caused me!!
I'm not sure if I will ever come back to Moxie. Something must be wrong when a client is fearful to go back to a salon, not so much for a bad haircut but for the vile presence an employee can bring in an atmosphere! I'd be hard pressed if I was the only person that has been treated like this by him! HE does it without any semblance of humanity whatsoever.
In a nutshell ... go to Fausto if you want to be treated with respect! He is a true professional and a class act! If you like being treated like garbage then you're going to the right person.
Hit or Miss.
I first found Moxie on Citysearch and called to set up an appointment to get my hair blown out. I have naturally curly hair that I wear straight. I can't blow out my own hair the way I like it so I need to find someplace that I like for my twice-weekly, or more, appointments.
I called and they set me up with Carlos after first telling me they were going to put me with someone else. He did a great job on my blowout and I returned again and again.
I needed my hair colored and they set me up with Emmanuelle. He was DIVINE. His color was right on and his blowouts were good, although they didn't hold as long as I would have liked. He also has this very sweet personality and a great French accent. Those are just bonuses; his color was fabulous!
I went back in to see Carlos because I was attending a black-tie event and needed my hair done especially for this. I was told he had an hour and a half to work on it so I felt comfortable as that was about when I had to leave to get ready. You have to know this if you want to see Carlos (which I really don't recommend): he would much rather do your hair HIS way than the way you like it. He turns you away from the mirror so you can't critique it as he's doing it. He didn't like the way I wore my hair and tried to convince me to do it a different way. I had to correct him more than once about it. Anyway, the day of the event he blows my hair out and starts doing these chunky curls around my face, which I liked. He told me he was going to leave them like that when I asked because he knew I'd be running my fingers through them and loosening them up anyway. I liked that so I left it that way. At the end of the styling I could tell he was getting anxious because he had clients waiting. You should also know they book back-to-back so you will not get great treatment when that happens and rush jobs look terrible, obviously. So, at the end he starts brushing through my curls that he said he was going to leave and taking all the curl out of my hair. I was now being rushed by my date to the event, rushed by Carlos because he had other clients and my hair was being ruined before my eyes. I asked him what he was doing and why he was brushing my hair. He had forgotten what he'd said about the curls. I didn't get upset, but I was in a hurry and needed him to fix the problem. He stopped what he was doing and went outside in the back. After 10 minutes of waiting I finally went and found him and told him never mind, I had to go. I had no idea he was even upset. He didn't address anything, he just ran off to the back and left me alone after telling me he's done hair for more important people than me and he knows how to fix problems. SO unprofessional. I gave him a good tip, as usual (although not deserved) and left. I wasn't rude, I didn't say anything about how bad I felt my hair looked (for $140 with tip) or anything.
I had an appointment set up for a few days later. They called and told me that they needed to set me up with a different stylist because Carlos, the hiring manager and head of stylists, lost his cool over a bad hair style and couldn't work with me. If you like overly sensitive stylists who think they know what's right for you and would like for you to be quiet and let them do it, then this is the salon for you. Granted, Emmanuelle was fantastic, but I just couldn't justify paying $80 (with tip) for a blowout from him.
This salon is nice, but you have to generally wait past your appointment time to have your hair done because their scheduling is so bad. Also, for some reason, this salon (located in Vegas, not NYC -- where I moved from -- or anything close) can make you feel like you're being looked down upon. I spend too much money on my hair to not feel appreciated for it.
Pros: Emmanuelle and his amazing color
Cons: Always have to wait, people there, for some bizarre reason, always look down on you, temper-tantrum throwing know-it-all stylists (Carlos)
Moxie's Top Talent. I am very impressed with the artistic team at Moxie. I'm a guy that doesn't like to fuss about my hair and do much in the way of styling and maintenance, but their crew always keeps me looking sharp.
