do not go here. my husband and i stayed at the venetian 9/2004 and decided to get the couples treatment. the waiting room was average looking but was very large. i was very disapponted with the wet room (sauna/steam/pool). it was gross. worst quality than the gym i go to. and tiney! i hope they decide to expand and renovate. i was scared to take my slippers off! and there was a lady standing there watching the place while i was trying to relax. it ruined my mood. well, the massage was nice. but i do not reccommend going here until the wet room/sitting area is renovated.
The Best. As one of the older spas on the strip this one is the best! It is exciting to know that they are planning an expansion and a total rennovation. Love the service and the selection of services available is the largest I know of.
Top notch facility. The best spa in Vegas. Canyon Ranch definitely exceeded my expectations.
Disappointing. I have been to 5 spas on the strip and have been most disappointed with the Canyon Ranch. The 1st time I used their spa, the wait area was was standing room only. Then the showers were being used and there was a wait for that too. And one shower was clogged w/ hair. Where are the attendants? The wet area was the dinkiest and ugliest among all the spas i've been to. I can't believe CR was built after the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay spas as they should have copied them. I love the Mandalay spa so much that I always go there no matter where I stay in Vegas. However, when I stayed at the Venetian after the expansion of the canyon ranch, I gave CR another try but was still disappointed. Bottom line, go to the spas at the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. You'll always be happy.
Doesn't quiet live up to the hype.... I'm a consummate spa goer and couldn't wait for my pick-2 package at the spaclub. It included a choice of two services (i picked a massage and thermal therapy), lunch, and full use of the facilities and classes. I spent the whole day there and initially, i was surprised by the lack of ambience. It just looked like a huge gym. The locker room was cramped with a top/bottom locker type of design and the whirlpools, sauna, and steamroom was small. The massage was excellent, but the thermal therapy was disappointing. I also took a pilates class, which was great. I used the Mandalay Bay's spa too and it beats Canyon Ranch hands down.
Couples Spa Heaven!. Stayed at the Venetian 5 days and wow! wow! wow! The Couples Spa package was a romantic, private steam room where we slathered exotic muds on each other in a special room. Rain poured from the ceiling in this "Rasoul" treatment. It was $550, but well worth it! We were escorted to our side-by-side massages, then to our lunch at their spa restaurant. My 6'6, 300 lb. hubby thought this might be too "frilly" for a "real" guy, but after 30 min in the steam chamber and then the massage, he was a convert. He didn't like the "atmosphere" in the men's locker. I agree with other reviewers that this isn't "quiet" or "soothing" since there are TVs in the lounge and the amenties left on the counter aren't "top" of the line cosmetics, but they do give you everything you need to dress, except your clothes.
