Don't take a friend who's afraid of heights here, unless you don't actually like them. The 55th floor perch is one thing, but the glass panel in the balcony floor might put them over the edge (sorry). Happy hour is from 8-10pm, and don't dress like a slouch--there's a nightlife attire dress code. Try to find a promoter to get you on the list for free so you don't have to pay the cover.
Cool bar both indoors and outdoors; not as big as the other clubs at the Palms, but a good place to get the night going and get awesome pictures with the skyline. Not much place to sit, most if not all is reserved for bottle service. They played good music to dance to which made the atmosphere more fun. We did not have to pay cover because we bought a deal off of Travelzoo that covered our dinner, entrance to Ghostbar, Moon, and the Playboy Club, and some drinks.
Ghostbar has incredible view – Ghostbar is located 55 stories up inside the Palms and gives ridiculously cool views of the Strip and features bottle service (not all trends can be broken).
Vegas' Best – Ghostbar is a fun trendy spot to hangout at. Not much a dance spot but more of a social spot with hotness all around. Met a lot of cool people. Although my friend was booted due to being overly intoxicated, I do respect that because it's a classier respectable place. (We returned a few hours later) Drinks were good and average price for Vegas. It's definitely a place I will visit each time I do Vegas.
Ghostbar is Amazin! – If you ever wanna check out Ghostbar or any other club at the Palms (Rain, Moon, Playboy Club & of course Ghostbar) just call up Glenn with the Palms. (714)402-7572

Good, reliable breakfast everymorning at the Palms. – Stayed at the Palms for 4 nights and ate here 3 out of 4 breakfastes. Everytime I ate here was good. The fruit platter was really good and provided a LOT of fresh fruit, which is essential to balance out all the bad eating we did at Lunch and Dinner! We never had much of a problem with service, and this could have been because we ate relatively early (10:30 am - 11:30 am) compared to all the other Palms-stayers who were undoubtedly still sleeping off the late-night. Scrambled eggs and omletted were all good. Only had one slightyly-bad server, but it wasn't a big deal for us. I don't think we paid over $12 per person per meal and always left full. I would recommend if you need a quite, simple breakfast stop while at the Palms. It's better than doing Mickie D's and healthier. I cannot comment on anything but breakfast/brunch.
Extremely gorgeous view! – Went June 2007. It is very dark, intimate, and has the most gorgeous view of Vegas EVER! Standing on the clear see through floor is a rush and a definate "must do". My party went on a Thursday and a Saturday. For beautiful, well dressed, high class, people, mostly young, some older...definately a fun crowd. Drinks not too expensive. Not a dance club, but great for socializing with movers and shakers! Can bypass line and be treated as VIP if you are one of the "pretty people". Alot of "pretty people" inside, not the Coyote Ugly crowd...thank goodness...We will be back!
Long Lines at Ghostbar – Any ideas on how to get a group of 10 guys into Ghostbar at the Palms Casino. I'm going there for a bachelor party in January. Someone mentioned VegasPartyPass but I am skeptical. HAs anyone used them or know of another way? We are not staying at the Palms so does that make it more difficult? THANKS!
Worst dining experience in this city – Horrible food, terrible service, a waste of both time and money.
I stood waiting to be seated for over a minute while the cashier chatted with a busser. It took 7 minutes for a server to get to me and another 10 minutes for a simple breakfast meal. The food was beyond horrendous with soggy "hash browns" (obviously frozen, pre-sliced potatoes) and soggy toast. Dissapointed and disgruntled by this point, I was pushed past the tipping point when it took yet another 5 minutes for the server to return with the check after I requested it. While their renovation sure made the place pretty, everything else seems to have suffered. You'd do well to go to any other "diner" type locations in this city.
Great on a Sunday night – I went here late on a Sunday, there was a bit of a wait with the line, but once we got up there, the view was spectacular, and the place looked great. It wasn't too crowded, just the right amount of people. There actually was a lot of dancing going on when I went there, and the DJ was playing great music. Best of all, they didn't make us pay a cover charge (a man and woman)! We got in free. I guess that doesn't happen too often, so we must have been lucky. But great place, I recommend going there at least once.
Not that great! I like Voodoo lounge at the RIO better – I've been to this lounge a couple times. One time I went early, around 9pm, hung out for a few hours and the place still wasn't crowded and I wondered what happened. Decided to leave and when I exited the elevator on the main floor there was a long line. Any club that has to keep a "feather" line to make themselves feel popular isn't a great club. Voodoo lounge is better with less attitude.
