What People Are Saying About Guggenheim Las Vegas

In Short – Wedged into an empty space between the casino and the parking garage of the Venetian is famed architect Rem Koolhaas' design for the Guggenheim's Las Vegas branch: a massive "big box" that features 64,000 square feet of exhibition space, and features a "mega-door" that is the second-largest hinge door in the world (the first being the door to the Space Shuttle's hangar.) It's a big space for big exhibitions, and represents the venerable museum's attempt to create a world-wide network of art spaces in unlikely places.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- Audio tours are available for exhibitions, but ask for a live (and lively) tour from one of the museum's knowledgeable docents instead.
Nice Outing!

We visited when they had the Motorcycle exhibit and it was phenomenal. It was a nice outing. I wish I could have taken pictures, but it was worth every penny. Go to Madame Tousseaus while you are there. It's right next door in the Venetian and it too is breathtaking for the entire family. I think all ages like Touseaus, while the Museum is not necessarily for young children.
- Pros: Great collections
