Editorial Review for Bali Hai Golf Club – by Karin Tomcik

The Course
Unlike many Vegas golf clubs, Bali Hai offers a "pure golf" experience, without housing or resort developments on the course. Players are able to enjoy clear views of the landscaping, with its overwhelming variety of trees, tropical plants and flowers. The island theme is reinforced by the seven acres of water features, which include a small island green, a palm-lined stream and a small rocky lake.

The Experience
Just south of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, this par-71 course is easy for locals to access just off I-15, and is a short cab ride for tourists staying on the Strip. The Bali Hai Golf Shop carries a variety of golf merchandise from equipment and accessories to high-end golf wear. There's also gourmet dining at Cili, located in the clubhouse.

What a pleasure to play at Bali Hai ! Escaping the hot & humid climate of South Florida last July, we landed on the Sun! The facility is fantastic. That includes the staff, lockeroom, pro shop, and the restaurant. The design is straightforward and not too complicated of a design. I play to a 19 hdcp, so it was a blessing. The course was in excellent shape, especially the greens. Fee was $125 after 1:00, which was reasonable IMHO. The drawbacks are the practice net for warm-up and the fact that departing traffic from McCarran Airport comes directly at you on a couple of holes. #1, #16 (island green), and #18 were my favorites. Have fun and enjoy this course.

Pros: Staff, facility, greens

Cons: McCarran Airport, Practice net
