Tamales are the big draw here. Its so darn hard to find good tamales, They are great- albeit a little pricey. Ill rate them a 4. Ive never eaten anything else at Dona Marias so you'll have to be the judge

Mexican food with no flavor???. I have tried this restaurant 3 x to give it a fresh chance after having 2 bad experiences. Today was the 3rd and the worst.

We thought how can you go bad with a taco salad? So that is what we ordered.

The shell was stale and not crisp. The meat was so tough we couldn't chew it... there was no flavor there was hardly any lettuce, tomato or cheese and they charge extra for beans?? It was 9.99 for a taco salad. Which if it was good I wouldn't mind the price.

I hate a place that will nickel and dime you ... on everything.

But the worst of all was the ?"manager"?

THIS TIME WE DECIDED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT~

First.... when we complained to the waiter I asked him if his family would eat food like this he told me "that is a disrespectful question"? OMG... how is that disrespectful???

Then the so called "manager" came over to ask some questions (we thought) she acted like we had murdered someone... it was an outright inquisition! I am not joking either.

Do yourself a favor and do not frequent this so called restaurant. The food was horrible, stale and on the expensive side... the service was the worst I have ever received in my life.

Homemade Authentic and Original. I have to give Dona Maria a good review for its originality and its longevity in Las Vegas. This is homemade, authentic and original Mexican food made by real people, so the food doesn?t have a ?cookie cutter? taste. Dona Maria has some very loyal ?white? customers that keep coming back because the food is good! Their tamales are great and you will love the salsa. Don?t expect some high-end experience, but it?s not a shabby taco shop either. If you like real authentic Mexican food cooked the old fashioned way, try Dona Maria and be sure to order one of their famous tamales.
