Love the restaurants, like the Eiffel Tower view. Never stayed there as of yet.
Very fun, and it's not TOOOOO expensive. It's less than $20, so it's not ridiculous. The view is stunning from the top, and you can see all of the strip. The person manning the elevator is also very interesting to listen to, spewing out all kinds of trivia about the hotel, and the Strip
Service in the casino was way above the norm! – This was a business trip and I was barely in the room, nor did I utilize the facilities and restaurants that much. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
Stay Away! – This is my second trip to Las Vegas and I would rate the stay at Paris the worst hotel experience so far in my life.
We booked a Red Luxury Room for over $100 per night. When we arrived, we were given a standard room with a parking lot view. When I showed the staff my booking confirmation email, I was told by a very patronizing staff that I have to pay additional $40 per night to get my original booking, and that they don’t “guarantee” my booking of the Red luxury room. Having travelled much around the world, I was quite amazed by the way Paris honor their contract and the way they treat guests. I was thinking of walking out to another hotel – there are plenty on the strip anyway – but I was charged $120 in advance already, and we were tired and hungry after a long flight from east coast, so we decided to put up with it for two nights. If I visit Las Vegas next time, I will never deal with Paris any more.
Besides dishonesty, the hotel is unremarkable in service and amenities. The buffet is a long wait (near one hour for dinner on a Monday night, with plenty of empty tables inside) and the food is mediocre for the price. The pool is very small with little decoration. Paris charges $25 for using gym and a tiny spa. I highly recommend staying away from Paris.
Hotel Room Bathroom Was Not Clean On Check-In – The best thing I can say about this hotel is the decor in the public areas like the lobby, etc. The economy rooms are shabby and seem really like a motel as far as decor. They are beaten hands down in room and public space decor by the Venetian, which offers similar is not cheaper prices for the same type of room. We go to Las Vegas every year. We have stayed so much at the Venetian, we wanted to see what Paris was like, even though you can see clearly the differences between the two hotels just by looking at the photos of the rooms on their websites. We check in smoothly, and then we went into the room where I did my usual check of the bathroom, just to see that everything is clean. The toilet seemed clean, but on the sink and the wall behind the sink there were fairly large blood stains that should have been visible to any cleaning person. The problem is that blood is really a biohazard substance, so swiping at it with a rag doesn't really do anything. It needs to be cleaned with anti-bacterial cleanser. It's not like I was combing the place with a microscope or a blue light. Let's be frank here, if you go to a hotel room and the bathroom is not clean, in an obvious way, can you really trust anything else that may not be as obvious to the naked eye but equally dirty? So, of course this made me doubt the cleanliness of everything from the bedding to the utensils that we were eating with. This incident put a shadow on our whole trip, and it's something that I have frequently mentioned to other people in conversations because it really is unacceptable. Most businesses try to give people a good first impression even when things start to go wrong afterward, but this hotel couldn't even accomplish that. It's also shocking to me that apparently I am not the only person questioning the cleanliness of this place, because before now I thought what happened to us was an isolated incident.
Eaten by bed bugs – Stayed there this year in a nice room, and to sum things up, I got eaten alive by bed bugs. They infested my suitcase and unfortunately took some home, hence what happens in Vegas sometimes comes home with you in the form of little critters. So DOUBLE check your bag before going home and don't leave clothes lying around in the room, they'll crawl into your pockets and stuff. I had rashes and scabbing for months. It wasn't fun. Hotel did not help at all even though they knew about the problem.
Exceeds the Hype – Before going there I was more than a bit suspicious. I mean really, a restaurant in a replica of the Eiffel Tower. How good could it really be, especially when the restaurant at the REAL Eiffel Tower has bad food and horrible service. But after sitting down to eat I was impressed. The menu options were great. The prices weren't excessive and the wine list was amazing. It was nice, too, that they had wine by the glass list that changed nightly and included some of their best wines; perfect for those of us who might not want to drop $300 on a bottle of wine (or $19,000, the most expensive bottle!). The food tasted great from salad to souffle and the service was also top notch. They also had a live piano player and chanteuse that sounded good. The only down side was the "professional" picture they took of us, which didn't turn out well. Even that, though, they didn't charge us for when they saw that it didn't turn out.
don't use express check out – The hotel decor great. I've been to Paris and the shopping 'streets' and Eiffel Tower replica was amazing. Rooms were ready on time and clean/very nice. So our stay was fine in that regard. Two problems: first, DO NOT use the express check out. I did and am regretting it daily. It's been a week and I still have no bill in my email accounts - they even messed up my alternate email address somehow. I tried to call to straighten it out but the main hotel just turfed me off to their 702-946-7000 number and that is a perpetual hold. Aftter holding for 20 minutes, someone answered and hung up before a word could be uttered. So I called back tried again with similar bad luck. Called the actual hotel number again (877-796-2096) and they just went silent when I asked how to handle this. I've now been told I have to send an email request for my bill and a response from their accounting/billing division will take anywhere from 3-5 days. Well, I've been waiting a week already, so what's another week?
Second, don't expect good food service. The food in the restaurants were "okay" (we didn't get sick, so that's good), actual service by wait staff was slow (even during off-peak times) - the majority of the food service personnel were totally impersonal/rude (except for one female waitress at 6:30 am) - this poor service s not the part of French culture towards Americans they should be replicating in a luxury American casino. Oh yes, if you want 'real' european/french hot chocolate and not a machine instant brew - forgettaboutit. Go to Starbucks.
Food was fine. Everything else was awful. – The place was so loud I had to shout to be heard by my dinner companions. There was the woman in the sequined hot pants walking around taking pictures of everyone, but since all the tables face forward you got the full effect of every flash bulb right in your face. The dress code wasn't enforced. Nothing like paying $450 for dinner for three and having to look at some hairy guy in a tank top.
The wine prices were beyond obscene. Hundreds of bottles and only a few for less than $100, most over $200. The sommelier asked if I had any questions and I said yes, only one: Have you no shame?
I took my wife and my son there for our 25th wedding anniversary. I made reservations well in advance and told them what it was we were celebrating. We were given one of the worst tables in the place (it was rickety and wobbled) and there was no recognition from the staff.
The food was wonderful. It showed imagination and was artfully presented. The staff, however, didn't know how to serve it. We ordered wine by the glass, but the wines were delivered well after the food. We had our dishes a full ten minutes before the wine showed up, appetizers and entrees alike.
My wife and son ordered souffles for dessert, which had to be ordered in advance. I did not, so the staff just assumed I did not want dessert. The souffles were on the table by the time I finally got someone's attention and was given the dessert menu. My wife and son finished their souffles before my dessert arrived. In keeping with the theme the dessert wine arrived after my dessert did, but at least I got to enjoy some of it with my dessert. My son's dessert wine didn't arrive until after he had finished his souffle.
It's obvious management is trying to maximize profit potential at the expense of guest comfort. Tables are jammed in everywhere making it loud and uncomfortable. But why not? Most everyone there is a tourist and will never be back. I am a local, however, and I won't ever be back, either.
