What truly makes this park notable is that it's the only skateboard/in-line skate facility in the city. Also lit to allow nighttime play, it offers those spunky, extreme skate guys and gals a place to practice their 360s without earning the disrespectful glances--or the trespassing citations--they risk elsewhere. The parl also features lighted public tennis and basketball courts. There's a lighted baseball diamond, which is often the site of league games for many of the city's numerous civic ball clubs.
