Editorial Review for Pueblo Park – by James P. Reza
In Short
Built in a natural arroyo as part of the Summerlin master plan, this park differs greatly from the typical Las Vegas recreation space. Much of the natural flora and fauna were retained, complemented by bursts of additional low-water plantings, such as rows of honey mesquite trees. The park stretches itself out narrowly from Rampart to Buffalo, paralleling Lake Mead Drive. Winding paved paths meander through the space (with homes looming high on either side) and, especially after a rain, the delightful smells of the desert come alive.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasSince the park follows a natural arroyo, the concrete paths make a perfect trail for biking or power walking. And given its slightly hidden nature, it's rarely crowded.
Know Before You GoPicnic, play and small grassy areas are scattered throughout, but this is mostly like a hike through the desert--so much so that native coyotes are often seen prowling the grounds late at night.
