Great Hiking. Awesome for hiking in the spring, winter and fall. If you decide to hike during the summer months, take extra, extra water and do it during the early hours of the morning or late in the afternoon. It also makes for a great sceninc drive.

Nature without slots. A great drive with a variety of hikes for different skill levels. All within a few minutes of the Strip.

Deceptive at first. Red Rock Canyon is underappreciated by the locals, deceptive at first, and surprisingly gorgeous. Even though I commute through Red Rock twice daily I am astounded every time by the size, colors, space and infinite variety of Red Rock. The monolithic cliffs look close enough to touch until you wend your way around the scenic drive or try to hike to their bases. Dawn and dusk bring amazing clarity and variety to the cliffs, while snow turns it into fairyland. You cannot visit too many times.
