Tips for Buca Di Beppo

Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant.. In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Home away from home. I had no idea that Buca di Beppo existed outside of downtown San Francisco, so I practically cried when I passed one, ON MY WAY HOME. With meatballs the size of Patton Manning's freakishly large head, and wonderful ambience, Buca on W. Lake Mead gives the out of towner the guarantee of tasty pastas and overly buttery breads. Their garlic bread with its slices of fresh garlic, remains the best around. My fiance sinks through the layers of cheesy lasagna goodness without speaking...except a few satisfied moans and grunts. Although the place sometimes emits a less than pleasant olfactory experience (we still can't quite figure out why it sometimes smells like backed up pipes) it makes up in clean, prompt and remarkably afford able experience. One other thing that Buca offers is privacy-from parties to intimate...they provide the best booths, bar and private rooms in the area. hands down.

Great place to bring the family. I live in Summerlin and I love to go to this restaurant with a large group. The portions are gigantic so you should plan on sharing with other family members or friends. The atmosphere is friendly and fun and I thought the food was pretty good.

This is not the Buca that we know!. We were promptly seated. Then forgotten. After 15 minutes I went to the bar looking for the manager. We were promptly switched to another waite person who went above and beyond to serve us well. The manager offered us free appetizer or desert to appease us. Food was very quickly served, hot and up to the Buca standard that we know and love. Must have been a quirk in their system that day. We would still recommend this restaurant as one of our favs.

STAY AWAY. Cold food, bad service, impersonal. One of the worst in Las Vegas. Had to find server and asked to be served, had to ask for utensils, food came out sporadically, badly organized. Only bright spot was a personable busboy.

Too much food. You are guaranteed to overeat at this establishment. The portions are enormous. One order of pasta will feed, in most case, 6 people. The surroundings are festive and can get to be a bit loud. Due to the large protions, large groups tend to frequent it and they tend to be loud.

Loved It!. Server recommended their "Buca Per Due". Presented nicely, came out hot and efficiently and was delicious! Tried the stuffed shells (they fix it with bits of spicey sausage) and veal. Their wine list was certainly adequate and we selected a nice bottle of Maestro Merlo ($25). Their desserts could feed at least 4 or 5 as could their salads. I feel you get good value as well as good food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
