Editorial Review for Postrio at the Venetian – by Chris Saunders
In Short
A festive patio just outside the entrance and a quiet, well-appointed dining room offer both casual and fine dining options. Cushy half-moon shaped booths line the perimeter of the room, while the remaining floor space is filled with white linen-topped square tables. Amber-colored marble floors, brown glass chandeliers and dim lighting create a romantic atmosphere for the couple-dominated crowd. Postrio's seasonal menu is filled with innovative contemporary American dishes.

My girlfriends and I were simply craving some good Italian pasta and the like. We heard all this stuff about Wolfgang Puck so we thought we would check out Postrio. Boy, did we check into the wrong place. The hostesses were uninviting and unorganized - almost as if they didn't know what to do with us. Once we were seated, the menu was hardly appealing. The server didn't seem like he knew much about the dishes and refused to accomodate our tastes since one of us wanted to substitute the salad for a pasta dish. The dishes were mediocre at best, even though the prices made us expect something better. Perhaps we just caught them on a really bad night...or perhaps every night is 'really bad'.
Pros: hmm, the cute guy sitting two tables down?
Cons: well, you get the picture.

We had our wedding reception in one of their private rooms. Everything was A++++. The food, drinks, service, everything - was top notch. Have you ever been to a wedding where you enjoyed your food? Well, ours had great food. All of our guests raved about their meals - it's been almost a year later and people STILL rave about the food at our wedding. We could not have been happier with this restaurant. We will go back to Postrio every time we visit Las Vegas.
Pros: food, service
Cons: none yet
