Editorial Review for AJ's Steakhouse – by Laura Reiley
In Short
There are no windows to look out into the hotel and casino from AJ's. The clubby restaurant is a classic eatery with only a tufted leather door to mark its existence. Still, the dimly lit steakhouse hums with activity most nights. A pianist works through classics on a shiny black grand and a long, elevated bar rarely goes unoccupied. The style is straightforward and portions are generous.

In response to the previous reviews. Not to be harsh, but Yes it is pricey. But anywhere worth eating in Vegas is. I was there for a week and for 2 of us be didn't have a single dinner under $200. It's Vegas: Things are more expensive and they mark things up 2, 3, 5x what they do in the average city. But the food at AJ's was one of my favorite meals (second to my meal at Spago earlier in the week!) The lobster bisque was great and my filet mignon was actually cooked correctly! The gratin potatoes were great too! My advice is; If you are worried about the price of things, you need to ask. It's not their obligation. Our service was great at AJ's and I recommend it!
Pros: Food, Atomosphere
Cons: None I saw

We ate at this establishment after being turned away from Nobu (also within the Hard Rock) because a male member of our party had sandals on. We found it quite interesting that there were many, many young adults walking through the casino/dining areas wearing bikinis and the males were shirtless..... Instead of driving to another establishment, we decided to eat at AJ's. Food was extremely overpriced - one special of the day was $75, although we never discovered the price of the entree until the check came. We were also charged $8 a bottle for Fuji water, even though there was no mention of the price.....three bottles of water set us back $24. Stay away from this place and go off strip for better food.....
