don't waste your money - pedestrian fare. While the ambiance and service were excellent, the food was the typical pseudo Italian fare. Had the price not been so outrageous, it would have been tolerable at best. Let me clarify, I KNOW Italian food , and this was like a glorified Olive Garden. The food was by no means bad, it was just americanized and poor quality. When I pay $58 for an entree, I have a certain expectation, quality wise...I do not understand what the others like so much about it, maybe they have never had good Italian cuisine. My honest advice, go somewhere else like Sensi at the Bellagio, if you want to spend money AND get good food. I stay at the Venetian, and I LOVE their rooms, but this restaurant is def. a no no.
My husband and I stayed 4 days at the Venetian what a fantastic Hotel but the Zeffirino's is my high light of the trip!
Our waiter was wonderful, had the best dinner, there was not a thing wrong with this place. I even was impressed with the restroom everthing at this place is top quality.
When back in Vegas we will go back there even if we don't stay at the Venetian.
Hard to believe. Without a doubt THE WORST restaurant meal ever! I ordered the scallops and certainly expected an edible meal but.... they were swimming in clarified butter and sitting on a bed of pureed bitter peas. A little flower was thrown on top to disquise(?) how unapetizing they looked. I am not going to complain unless it is absolutely necessary however after one small bite it was impossible to imagine actually eating what was presented unless a gun was held to my head. Of course, I complained and sent it back but, the attitude of the wait staff was less than cordial. They offered to get me another entree but I would have been eating by myself and they never apologized. My companions, all 4 of them, felt their meals were adequate but not outstanding in any way. It was our first time and will certainly be our last. A free meal could not entice me to venture into that place again. It is curious how a restaurant of that stature and price level could possibly imagine serving such a horrible dish. Possibly a new chef from a local high school?
Poor Service for Standard of Restaurant. Myself and four other women had 8:30 p.m. reservations on April 14th. to celebrate a birthday. We arrived early and ordered one pre-dinner drink downstairs. We were informed that our table was ready and we had to pay for the drinks before being seated. While in the middle of paying, the hostess seated 2 people in my party and left the rest of us downstairs. No one bothered to seat the rest of us or direct us otherwise. I asked 4 employees if we could be seated and shown where the other 2 people were. Each employee informed us we would have to figure it out on our own and we could not be helped. When we complained, the staff was unapologetic and did nothing to rectify the matter. Next, one person in my party asked for bruschetta. The waiter corrected her enunciation 3 times and did not bring the bruschetta. When we asked, we were later informed that the chef could not be bothered with making bruschetta. How hard can it be to toast some bread and chop some tomatoes? This was ridiculously poor service for a restaurant of this supposedly high standard. They should be forced to reduce their prices to $6 per entree or less or start providing proper service.
Horrible Service. My husband and I were staying at the Venetian and we wanted to have dinner at a romantic Italian restaurant. We are not too familiar with nice restaurants so when we passed by Zefferino's it looked nice and we decided to go in. Bad idea! The hostess' were very pleasant, but once we got inside it all went down hill from there. After we sat down and ordered our drinks, we waited for about 15 minutes before anybody came over to take our order, and that was only after we asked if we could order. Once we got our food we were pretty much ignored for the rest of the night. Nobody came over to give us refills or ask how we were doing. However, the couple next to us received pretty prompt service. Once we were finished eating they collect our plates, but did not ask if we wanted dessert and never brought us our bill. We had to ask another waiter for our bill, because after he took our order our waiter never came back. Considering the type of restaurant and it's location we expected so much better.
While good in the past, not good and not recommend any longer. As a long time Las Vegas resident, I have had the opportunity to eat at this establishment many times. While in the past their food always inticed me to return, this is no longer true. I would not eat at or recommend this restaurant in the future. To give this establishment the benefit of the doubt, I returned the second time after a disappointing meal. The second visit was even more disappointing--the food was tasteless--I had tuna tartare and veal--both lacked interest. However, service was good as was the desert. However, for the price the latter does not justify a return visit. There are many other restaurants in Las Vegas, even in the immediate area, that are comparable in price but far exceed the quality of the food provided by Zeffirino's.
extremely bad for dining.
This place was very terrible. It's the worst italian restaurant ever had. We booked reservation for 31 Dec 06 about 2 months with hoping that we would have a good seating. We saw nice atmosphere on the web and expected that the restaurant should be nice to spend time and money for new year. However, it was very bad experience and not worthed to dine at this restaurant. Everything was bad for this new year eve. It's extremely expensive with no reason.
The seating was very bad. We walked in and called for request seating that can see the grand canal several times but the reservation said that we can request for that particular seating when arrival. However, when we arrived the restaurant, they said only seating outside the restaurant because the upstair was only for group party. So we had to sat outside the restaurant.
The food was not in a good conditiion. The New Year Eve menu was prepared as a 5 courses set menu. We had several choices for appetizer and main course. We order tuna stuffing and lobster for appetizer. The tuna stuffing was still in frozen condition and the lobster turned to be large shirmp instead. For main course, we ordered the lamb with medium cooked. It took long time to get this plate. The lamb was burnt and too much cooked. By the way, the food was not like italian tast at all.
In overall, this restaurant experience was horrible. We spent $470 including 18% gaditude for two person with no value. I hardly imagine to have this kind of food and service for this much amount of money.
ONE OF THE TWO BEST BRUNCHES IN LAS VEGAS!!!!. oustanding quality!! beatiful room overlooking the grand canal, tremendous service, you have to try there sunday brunch!! home made pastas , perfectly cooked lobsters , all the proseco you can drink! the champagne and sweets are better at the sterling brunch, but every thing else is better here!! a must try in vegas!!
Handcrafted pastas and a setting reminiscent of an Italian villa lift foodies to new heights at this venerated Venetian hot spot..
The entire restaurant was transported piece by piece from Genova, Italy, by world-renowned Chef Gian Paolo Belloni. Dim lighting, abundant antiques and dark woods fill the upstairs dining room. Downstairs, the bar area is more casual--featuring an oyster bar, cocktail tables and a lively trendsetting weekend. Entrees transport patrons back to the old country with taglierini pasta or sauteed jumbo shrimp with garlic.
We've eaten here several times, as just a couple and in a large group (10-12 adults). No waiting this time - that's for sure the restaurant was empty, and yes we made reservations (doesn't everyone). Every other Italian restaurant in the Ventian was packed. Gee wonder why.
Both of us had the lobster, crab, & shrimp fettucini. Pasta was very good. The seafood was over cooked. Service was indifferent. Just wasn't a pleasant experience from start to finish. After half a dozen visits...that's it time to move on. There are plenty of other places to try.
