Editorial Review for Bellagio Fountains – by James P. Reza

In Short
Bursting from beneath the 10-acre Lake Como replica, 1,200 jets spew forth dancing waters up to an incredible 24 stories in the air. Synchronized and choreographed by professionals, the fountains mesmerize onlookers with their fluid movements to a soundtrack varying from Broadway show tunes and opera to classical and pop. The clarity of the sound system--competing with eight lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic--is amazing in itself, and often causes that very traffic to come to a standstill.

The fountains at Bellagio at night is the single best free attraction in Las Vegas. We are frequent visitors and never miss a walk along the sidewalk at night watching the fountains and listening to accompanying music. The Christmas holidays are particularly nice when they add a number of seasonal songs.

Pros: Spectacular free attraction

Cons: Does not operate when it is windy

I have watched the show in both the daytime & the evening. I far prefer the evening show with the lights on, but both are an experience not to be missed. The music changes for each performance and the fountains magically dance & perform to the music. I have watched lively performances, romantic, dramatic, etc. It covers the entire spectrum. Across the street at Paris the outdoor seats at the restaurant with a prime view of the fountains are a prime commodity. Until you actually see it yourself, words cannot describe it.
