The Skinny
Though just 22 years old, Jonny Lang has been playing electric blues on the national scene since he was 15 years old. Lang leads a pack of young blues artists (Mike Welch, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shannon Curfman, etc.) that has not only been influenced by the rock-isms of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, but also the vintage sensibilities of Robert Johnson, Albert Collins and B.B. King. Tours with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Blues Traveler and Aerosmith have exposed audiences to Lang's mature licks and gravelly vocals. Lang has released three major-label recordings, "Lie to Me," "Wander This World" and 2003's "Long Time Coming," and continues to pursue a relentless touring schedule.
