Editorial Review for Madame Tussaud's – by Dawn Pomento
The Scoop
The $20 million Madame Tussaud's is located on the second level of the St. Mark's Library Building in the Venetian Resort and Casino. Each figure costs $20,000 to $40,000 to produce. The "celebrities" are assembled in five different areas. A special VIP party area, "The Big Night," is an excuse to gather unlikely wax celebs such as Whoopi Goldberg and Jerry Springer. "Sports Arena" is of course the spot for wax athletes like Babe Ruth and Muhammad Ali. Music figures gather in the "Rock and Pop" area.
The Locals
The big draw will be the "Las Vegas Legends" room, where Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, and other cool cats are poised to perform. The "Celebrity Encounter" encourages visitors to "rub elbows" with the stars. Go ahead and roll up those sleeves, and don't worry: the museum is air conditioned against those 110 degree days.

I totaly would have thought a wax museum would be lame and boring. O.M.G it's anything but! You can go in there and wear costumes and stuff and pose next to the celebrities and the pix come out so real! Somebody thought my pic with wax Elvis was with a real impersonator. Best of all there's the optional walk through movie monster maze. Surprisingly this was one of the best things I did on my VERY full trip to Vegas. MUST SEE!
Pros: Really cool, fun, informative.
Cons: Um, gee. Lemmee think...NONE!

I vacationed in Las Vegas last June. My best friend and I decided togo into this museum, because we thought it would be interesting. The wax models of famous people were so realistic, that when I took my pictures home everyone thought they were really stars!
Pros: variety, inexpensive
